I think SDSU would be a smart move sooner than later, but I would think that you either go for a big west coast grab to create a pod/division...while somewhere in between would just ruffle the feathers of the pre-existing ACC members who would then actually have to travel more. Three schools is just a stop gap to put more money in the hands of the disgruntled; a much more aggressive play would be required to assure long-term survival.

I'm willing to bet SDSU and other Mountain West teams (or OSU and WSU) would jump at a deal somewhere between what SMU has and what you have to join the ACC. Perhaps SDSU, OSU, and WSU are the eventual answer, although I wouldn't rule out Tulane as a travel partner for SMU. If Coach Prime stays in Colorado long enough (or they want to entice him to stay long-term), maybe Colorado eventually bolts if the ACC looks clearly superior to the Big XII at that point.
