Comparing the team score to the 2019 championship-winning season, Cal has the exact same 372 points entering Saturday. Of course, they are trailing by 42 points this year instead of being ahead by 43 points like in 2019. Texas really improved their point output due to that 400 IM.
These updates are fantastic! I have been closely following our swimming teams for 25+ years and it has been a lot of fun to see the recovery and ascent, but every year I get super frustrated by our points handicap in diving, so I can only imagine how Durden feels!
