Cal tight end Jack Endries announces return for the 2025 season
The California Golden Bears will return their leading pass catcher for the 2025 season.
There have been a few departures in the Cal receiving room, so the Bears got a good piece of news when tight end Jack Endries officially announced his return this weekend.
In 2023, Endries finished 13th in the ACC with 56 receptions, compiling 623 yards and two touchdowns. Endries had his longest play in a 57 yard touchdown against Miami, had his best performance at Pitt with eight catches, 119 yards and a touchdown, and then caught nine passes for 101 yards vs. NC State the following week. He also had four more games with four or more catches against Stanford, Syracuse, Wake Forest and Oregon State.
With Corey Dyches heading to the NFL Draft, and J.T. Byrne and Nate Rutchena transferring, expect new transfers Simon Mapa and Mason Mini to battle Ben Marshall and Jeffrey Johnson for that TE2 spot. But they are all expected to follow the lead of one of the best offensive talents in Cal football.
He's a talent and it's great to have him returning.
Phew...when I started reading the headline I thought it was another portal announcement....great news...go bears forever!
