Cal gets another offensive line transfer in the portal in Stanford guard/tackle Barrett Miller
Cal has landed two crucial offensive linemen in the portal this offseason.
The cross-Bay pollination continues between Cal and Stanford this offseason. The Bears could have a former Cardinal lining up for them on the offensive line.
Barrett Miller announced his commitment to the California Golden Bears.
Miller appeared in 38 games for Stanford, making 30 starts at both right and left guard while in 2023 he started 5 games at right tackle. Although the Stanford offensive line wasn’t exactly their greatest strength in the last few years, the Bears will appreciate any additional depth they can get on that side of the football field. And obviously it is nice to start up a potential pipeline from Stanford transfers to Cal, as they are one of the few schools that would have no trouble passing admissions on portal transfers.
Along with Texas A&M transfer Matthew Wykoff, Cal now has two solid offensive line portal additions that provide the Bears with much needed depth to piece together a new-look offense from scratch. Considering neither Power 5 transfer saw any action for Cal during the spring, it’s safe to say the Bears will have a much different look to them come fall camp.
LFGGG. Between Cindric, Vatikani, Wykoff, and this guy we now have 4 real power 5 level starting linemen!
This is a great late portal addition.
