U.S. sportsbooks and bettors expect the No. 24 USC Trojans (6-2, 4-1 Pac-12) to roll to victory against the California Golden Bears (3-4, 1-3 Pac-12).
California faces USC for the 110th time and its last match-up as two Pac-12 Conference foes this Saturday, Oct. 28. The contest is the Golden Bears’ third game in a row against a nationally ranked top-25 team.

The Cal v. USC college football betting odds opened at California +10 on Sunday, Oct. 22, at the Circa Sports sportsbook in Las Vegas.
As of Thursday afternoon, the latest college football betting odds for California v. USC is California +10.5, according to Vegas Insider, which aggregates and analyzes legal sportsbooks’ offered betting lines and odds. The California +10.5 line implies the California Golden Bears are 11-point underdogs against the USC Trojans.
According to Vegas Insider, U.S. sportsbooks have set the “over-or-under” total for total score bets between 66 and 66.5 as of Thursday afternoon.
A bet on the “over” at a total of 66.5 points pays off if the combined score of California v. USC is 67 points or higher. Bets on the “under” would win if the game’s final score is 66 points or fewer.
The California +10.5 line and 66.5-point total imply a USC victory with a scoreline of about 39-28.
California v. USC “moneyline” bets, which pay bettors if their chosen team wins the game by any point margin, are offered between California +315 and California +340 and USC -450 and USC -395, per Vegas Insider on Thursday afternoon.
Wagers placed at the most favorable moneyline odds of California +340 would pay out $340 on a $100 bet if California beats USC and pulls off the upset.
Bets on USC’s most favorable moneyline odds of USC -395 would require a $395 bet to win $100.

California and USC have underperformed compared to sportsbooks’ offered point spreads in the 2023 college football season. California is 2-5 against the spread, and USC is 2-6.
Last week, California sat idle on a bye week while USC lost 32-34 to the Utah Utes. The USC Trojans were favored by about 7 points against the Utah Utes.
According to Vegas Insider’s analysis, bettors believe USC will beat California only by a small margin. Two out of three point-spread bets have been on California, although 72% of all moneyline bets are on USC.
Nearly all (96%) of total score wagers have been on the over. USC has a 7-1 record on over-or-under bets, and California has been 4-3.
USC leads the series against California 72-32-5, but California has won two of the last four meetings. Previously, the California Golden Bears had a 17-game losing streak from 2004 to 2017 to the USC Trojans.
