Veeeery interesting if Cal beats Wake then wins an ACCT game and if any/all the following happen:
- SMU loses to FSU (and doesn't win an ACCT game)
- Indiana loses to OSU (and gets bounced pretty early in the Big10 tourney)
- VCU loses to Dayton and doesn't get to the A10 championship game
Ironically maybe SMU beating FSU to get the 9th place in the ACC is better to give Cal one last chance at a Q1 win before selection sunday (SMU would still be a Q1 for neutral site but FSU would just be Q2)
The Pitt game really killed them tho. I feel like a win there just makes the convo if Cal is last 4 in or last 4 w/ a bye (assuming GT is still a win and Wake is a win)
Just because there are only twenty-something seconds before halftime doesn’t mean you should abandon your offense and have the 6’1” Ames hold for twenty then go one on one down the lane. He had other guys open even late in the clock The Bears could have found a better shot.
Still think the Pitt L sealed our NIT fate, but didn’t have SMU gagging a nearly locked up bid to the Dance on my BINGO card.
That will be interesting to watch if Cal beats Wake.

Yeah, the Pitt game was a disaster.
From the beginning getting to 10-8 has always been the key for the regular season. So gotta beat Wake Sat regardless and hope for help.
Does a neutral court W over FSU get it done? Dunno. Bubble shrinking because of teams earning their way in.
Pippen’s saving his points for Wake Forest
Sure looks like it.
Should help their NIT seed.
We are winning!!!!
Love the mental fight in the team all season. Sometimes the ball doesn't drop but you can always try and battle back.
Glad to see Ames in his true form!!
Go Bears!
Is that a flagrant?
Madsen continues to go to these putrid lineup combinations.
go bears...
wish i had a way to watch it. just staring at gamecast..
Ditto but can still feel the ups and downs
You can always listen to the online radio broadcast if you want a legal option: https://thevarsitynetwork.com/feed/source/oas-1169?audioPlayer=calberk%3Aallaccess-Live-485
There's a lot of ways to pirate it to watch lol
These defensive breakdowns are awful.
C’mon Pip - gotta put this team on your shoulders the last 3 games…
We made a Three!
The Pitt loss ended their bubble hopes, and they almost know it. Playing like they don’t care.
Surprising, only down by 4 at half. Need 3 PT production for a chance in the 2nd half

Yup. It was the same one on five play that failed to win the Syracuse game.
And multiple times in 2025 at Notre Dame, at Ga Tech….clear outs and ISO is MM’s go-to.
It’s just such a low percentage shot.
