Cal v. Oregon State college football: What you should know
Unlike the Pac-12 Conference, Atlantic Coast Conference members play eight conference and four non-conference games each season. The California Golden Bears complete their non-conference slate against Oregon State this Saturday. Until the current 2024-2025 college football season, the California Golden Bears and Oregon State Beavers were members of the Pac-12 Conference. Cal boasts a 39-37 record against Oregon State, including a 24-19 history at home in Berkeley, Calif.
California is 4-3 against the spread in the 2024-2025 college football season, and Oregon State has a 2-5 record against the spread.

Last week, the California Golden Bears gave up a double-digit lead and got shut out in the fourth quarter, losing 23-24 at home against the North Carolina State Wolfpack. The Golden Bears have the worst record in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Similarly, Oregon State is fresh off a 25-33 defeat at home against the UNLV Rebels last weekend. The Beavers trailed by as many as 16 points in the fourth quarter, but a 75-yard touchdown drive and successful two-point conversion cut the deficit to 25-33 with 2:39 remaining in the game. However, a failed last-second pass ended Oregon State’s comeback hopes.
We'll probably fall apart in the 4th quarter again while Sirman stays in zone D's and once in a while a generic zone blitz. No full out blitzes with loops and double A gap go's and the opposing team find the wholes in the zone and moves down the field to score.
The Bears favored by 7 or 9 points? Ridiculous. Cal will be lucky to win this game. Lately Oregon State has dominated Cal - in Corvallis or Berkeley. It seems as if Oregon State plays very well in Memorial Stadium. If I was a football bettor, I would take the Beavers.
