The Bears favored by 7 or 9 points? Ridiculous. Cal will be lucky to win this game. Lately Oregon State has dominated Cal - in Corvallis or Berkeley. It seems as if Oregon State plays very well in Memorial Stadium. If I was a football bettor, I would take the Beavers.
We'll probably fall apart in the 4th quarter again while Sirman stays in zone D's and once in a while a generic zone blitz. No full out blitzes with loops and double A gap go's and the opposing team find the wholes in the zone and moves down the field to score.
What frustrated me was dropping into zone, but only rushing 4 when we’ve really struggled to generate consistent pressure this year with just the front four.
It allowed a true FR QB to literally take his time and just play catch with a receiver. Yikes.
it also starts up front with the OL. They've been a sieve. If they can't block, we can't run; Marshawn would be tackled in the backfield. If we can't block, there is no time for the WR's to get downfield.
No surprise that Cal folds under pressure. Especially the field goal kicker. But without a good running game Cal is going nowhere. With all due respect to Jayden Ott, why should he risk further "injury"? He needs to stay healthy as he probably will be a high draft pick.

Too. Easy.

We did end up blitzing in the 4th on Saturday and then NC State got the go-ahead touchdown.
Gosh I hope not.
The trend for the season has not been characterized by sterling fourth quarter performances though.
We can learn much more from the past four games than the first three which were more like unicorns and rainbows.
