I hate to use the brutal MBB NIL/lack of money as an excuse…it’s a lazy take, rather reductive, and discounts the impact coaching has on a basketball team. Plenty of rosters play damn good basketball without millions of $$$$ in NIL.
However, Cal’s NIL is woefully inadequate. You simply can’t consistently match up with legit ACC basketball teams with a roster as light on P4 talent as this one.

It becomes so hard when they’re getting nothing offensively from nearly 70% of the rotation…(Bell, Dort, Ilic, Dorsey, Campbell, Kocanas)…nothing.
We look like we belong on this court. Hopefully we can come out strong and cut into that lead.
