OK. Out of pure hardheaded and perverse stubbornness I plan to attend this game. Same for the Virginia Tech day game. I paid up front and I am going. Unfortunately, no one in my family or circle of friends will go with me to anymore Cal football games, day or night this season or maybe ever according to one cowardly bastard.

Too many night games!! Terrible effect on attendance!

I haven't missed a home game since 2012 and only the one since 1989, but I'm going to pass on this one. I've had enough of night games. Even though I live walking distance from the stadium getting home at midnight is too much at my age. Takes two days to recover. Already done it twice this season. One of the things I most miss about the "old days" is regular starting times and them always being in the afternoon.

I hear ya. By the time we even walk back to the hotel, wind down and the outside noise dies down, it’s after 2 AM. I can only imagine it being an all-nighter celebration if we actually win one of these games.

Night games in Memorial Stadium are the Pits. It can be a beautiful day but when the sun goes down it gets as cold as a night at the beach in January. I predict there will be less than 30 thousand people in the stands for this one. Oh to be back in the old Pac 12. this ACC is awful!.

see all the articles out about Lupoi, switching playcalling (offense coordinator duties) mid UNLV game?

Thankful things are changing. We did look better offensively in 2nd half, despite having our QB1, RB1, RB2 all out.

Surprised we don't have an article here yet about it

If Cal wins I'll go to the Wake Forest friggin night game. I detest night games! If they lose to Va Tech I'll stay home and watch it on the tube.

Completely understandable. Heck, I drive 2.5 hours to get to these games. I figure, foolishly perhaps after how the season has gone so far, that in at least one game against a competent opponent Cal will play a clean focused game, special teams will be special (they did look better against UNLV), the defense will not give up big plays or defeat themselves with stupid penalties, the offense will show off its talent, pass the ball in the center of the field to make the defense pay a little, not hold anybody on those bubble screens, not run up against a stacked box on short yardage, protect the QB for just a half second more, and win it. It is possible, right? Go Bears!

Little surprised Wake Forest got picked for a night game!

Anyway, I was always going to have some trouble on this day since my wife has a work event but I think this clinches me not going.
