Milos with perhaps his best game and 6-6 from the line, including the last 4FT in crunch time.

Really missing Rytis who plays at 120% every play, yet can rebound without fouling. Our rebounding (and defense) has really been hurt without him

Ilic seems to get better every game. Camden hasn’t hit a 3 since last November. Dort fouled out with 20 pts, Kocanas with 1. This was a winnable league game. See you at the NC game. Go Bears!

Oops, Dort had 10, a typo.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. Bigs foul too much, though Ilic and Kocanas are showing signs of development in other aspects. Makes a big difference to have 15 fouls without creating a total offensive liability.

Camden can't buy a bucket despite having good looks. And his play seems off in general.

If anyone questions the importance of a 6th man, look at us without Rytis. With Rytis, we win this one.

As Dick Vitale would say; "It's the NIT BAAAAYYYYBBBEEE!!!"

Which would be great.

True progress in year 3.

I mean, admittedly I’m as critical of this roster as it gets when viewed through the lens of making the NCAA Tournament.

But big picture, after the past 8 years, ANY postseason berth represents legitimate improvement and sets MM up to hopefully breakthrough in year 4 IF we can keep some guys out of the portal while adding a little something something.

This loss was disappointing. I listened to the end

You never mention this is Cal’s best start since 1959

You dont mention that after the preseason games and we were 12 & 1 the ncaa rankings, for one brief moment, ranked us #1 in the acc with duke #2 That was a brief moment so fabulous! You dont mention how amazing this team is coming together being so much less expensive to rectuit (because Cal alums give their $ to science….. not sports) and do they are playing thrir hearts out gir Mark being so competitive Even against taller teams and more gifted players

Great breakdown of the aggression paradox. The 28 fouls in 67 possesions is wild when you consider Madsen was specifically trying to address the physicality problem from Virginia. Ilic's offensive rebounding knack is valuable but his defensive liabilities created the exact catch-22 the team couldn't escape.
