California remains winless against top-tier Football Bowl Subdivision teams, but Las Vegas oddsmakers think that will change this Saturday, Oct. 23.

The California Golden Bears (1-5, 0-3 Pac-12) are two-score favorites against the Colorado Buffaloes (2-4, 1-2 Pac-12), even after the Buffaloes’ 34-0 shutout against the Arizona Wildcats Saturday.

The most recent Cal v. Colorado college football betting odds is California -9.5 and a 43 total, as of Oct. 17, according to VegasInsider.com, an aggregator of legal U.S. sportsbooks’ offered odds.

California is about a 10-point favorite, and the total for “over-or-under” total score bets is 43.

The Cal v. Colorado spread opened shortly after 11 a.m. Pacific on Sunday at the Circa Resort and Casino sportsbook in Las Vegas, according to VegasInsider.com. The Circa sportsbook began taking bets with an opening line of California -9.5 and a 42 and one-half point total.

As of Sunday afternoon, college football bet spreads are available for California v. Colorado as high as California -10.5 and a 42.5 total at the WynnBET sportsbook operated by the parent company of the Wynn Las Vegas & Encore Resort.

Last week, Colorado punished Arizona at home in Folsom Field in Boulder, Colo., with big plays on all sides of the football.

Colorado safety Trevor Woods blocked an Arizona punt in the third quarter and returned the ball for a 36-yard touchdown to give his team a 13-0 lead after the successful point-after kick.

Then, one minute and 14 seconds later, Colorado outside linebacker Carson Wells brought home a pick-six for 50 yards.

The Colorado defense kept the Arizona Wildcats to only 280 total yards of offense.

Golden Bears fans will want to look out for Colorado first-year quarterback Brendon Lewis next Saturday. Lewis threw for 248 yards and two touchdowns against the Wildcats, including a 62-yard pass in the third quarter to wide receiver Brenden Rice.
