Doesn’t seem like Spav has much faith in SJVs arm and our WRs haven’t been getting much separation which is where we miss J Mike. Glad we got the win but conference play might be ugly.
I dont know about Sam Jackson anymore. I think I finally understand what people were talking about in regards to the gap between us and most of the Pac 12 in QB play. I think I like him as a change of pace with designed runs and play action but not the starter.
I assumed Spav's offense was going to make it simple for receivers to be open and you dont necessarily need top end talent but that doesnt seem to have been the case
Finley makes quicker reads than V5, for now. But V5's ability means we need to give V5 time to learn, because when he learns to make those reads like Finley he will be scary good.
Assuming the fumble holds up I'm always conflicted about these - on one hand I'm happy we get the ball (if we do), on the other hand WHY THE F#$#$ did they gain 11 yards in the first place!?
Any else watching the 12 Greatest Cal Football Players.?
Is Starling ever going to be healthy enough to play?
I already forgot about him
Hello, Clarice
Idaho will be good. Really like that team
Hate our WR play, no separation . I’m not really sure if it’s sjv or Finley who should be getting the start at this point.
Stop kicking field goals
Spav needs to coach with more balls. Play calling doesn’t seem close to how we played in 2016
Love our RB’s and LB’s
CAL has had problems with slow starts...need to sort that out.
We won our Superbowl! See you all next Fall!
Ooh. - fired the cannon. Now that’s a sound we haven’t heard frequently! Go Bears!
Are FG not reviewable?

I was hoping Hightower to be the tall receiver who can catch contested balls
I was hoping Starling would be healthy and be a dominant big-man possession receiver, like a TE body playing WR
Only Hunter does that.
Yet we seem to prefer to throw to him short so he can muscle out 4-5 yard gains
Looked good to me. Wtf refs
Yes it had an angle. But it looked left after it already passed over the cross bar.
Ok let's win the game with an interception
Shucks
That FG actually looked good.
He still needs to hit the center. It was hooking left,
He fell off the horse
Nah just slipped a stirrup. 😉
Not good.
That’s the hash.
Boo
Awww

Yeah, I’m a bit iffy on him as a passer right now. I hope it is just inexperience and he will improve.
He gives you something you don’t have with the legs, but he needs to run more to win. He’s not gonna beat you from the pocket.
He won't make it through the season if part of the game plan is to run him frequently / consistently.
I think he still gives us the best chance to win.
12-23 for 108 yards against Idaho leaves a lot to be desired.
oof
I feel like a combination of the two gives us the best chance.
No separation from our wrs
Yeah this has been a problem for a long time, and unfortunately Burl Toler has been a common factor
We miss JMS

Yea that's a disappointment
More takeaways.
Our takers are LBs this year.
The duck punt and the fumble. All according to plan
Mavin Anderson out there with his first action of the day
Another 4th down stop.
Woodie does not need to intercept that but when we are this up, let's pad the stats.
Looks like the ball is spotted back towards the line of scrimmage.
going down as an incomplete
Time to put this one away once and for all.
Finally a sack!
Hold
😄
All right, this generation of yell leaders needs a lesson on “HEY ALUMNI - GO!”
BEARS!
Hearns walking back to sideline without help.
Woodie got completely taken out
Ref interference?
Sirmon had to run around the Umpire.
That’s what we were saying in the stands. Moving screen!
Where is everyone sitting today?
12th man blocker
Did he move on the screen?
Stayed planted became like a pick.
Jermaine Jackson (football) playing like Jermaine Jackson (music) on that one.
O/U 52.5, and now sitting at 48 points
who bets the over on cal
😆
He doesn’t struggle from that hash.
Luckhurst got back up on that horse and gave a big Yeehaw
They’re gonna need him.
good for Michael. Needed it and I hope it sets a pedestal for him to jump from
His trouble comes from the other hash…he’s pretty solid from that side.
It’s the other hash that he’s missing most of them.
Agreed - frustrating last game but hopefully this helps his confidence in the long term.
Woohoo!! We made a FG!!
Looks like we actually made a field goal.
Wow Luckhurst made a FG!!!?
Hey, we made one!
Yay Michael! 🏈
Gonna need him.
Wow he made one
Is...is that allowed?
You are a minute or two ahead of me
sorry!!
might have a FG opportunity here...
"Opportunity"

How do you get a 10 yard penalty and then have 1st and 18?
Spot of foul?
yes

You're more insightful than I am but I completely agree... It seems to me that he has tremendous upside plus game breaking athleticism.
Not a great day for Vatikani, huh Rug?
He's had a rough year. Defenses have watched film and figured him out. He's big, strong and nasty, but needs a ton of work on his technique.
Where’s Pawloski with the Stredick stock certificates?
Roll on you Bears!
Cal's 9th turnover of the season (they've had two today)
Cal offense on the field so it's upheld.
Assuming the fumble holds up I'm always conflicted about these - on one hand I'm happy we get the ball (if we do), on the other hand WHY THE F#$#$ did they gain 11 yards in the first place!?
Their receivers are legit and our DBs are struggling with leverage.
True. Just frustrating.
Another Taker event!
