Sadly, CAL was the more powerful team but committed WAY too many unforced errors (leading to turnovers) inside of 10 meters of the end zone. Whether we had untimely fumbles, knock ons, or committed penalties, it was the difference in the game. I've said this year that Navy plays a more disciplined and smarter game, but even they had their share of unforced errors yesterday, just not near as many as CAL.

It's one thing to get run over by a stronger team, but to throw it away like that is so frustrating. Well, the boys, as Clark likes to call them, have plenty to work on and motivate them for next year. They were just one play away.

I got to watch the last 25 mins of the game w my son who played football at Navy and is now learning to fly Navy P-8s (737s), during my visit to him in Jacksonville, FL. So even though Cal lost, I still won….
