Does anyone else find it nuts that the Pac-12 is providing the most entertaining CFB, and yet the curtain is about to fall? It’s astonishing. Idiots. The networks managed to fuck up one more amazing piece of content as they feebly grasp for their waining power.
I just hope we kick the shit out of everyone in the ACC and make all these east coast jocks eat their words. They all show no respect. We have top 10 most nfl alumns. So frustrating. We have terrible PR.
Normally at this point in a game I would turn off the TV because it's game over. But this has happened so rarely with CAL that I am going to savor every second, even with ESNU milking it with all the ridiculous commercials.
Oh, yeah, Plummer showed some of the same problems and issues in Louisville's game with Georgia Tech. Limited pocket awareness; failed to scramble; dee in the headlights moments; poor reads...
We usually played down to opponent's talent level. We couldn't even put FCS teams away. So the fact that we scored 50+, even if North Texas talent is bad, is a good sign of improvement.
What the second half shows me is that we have good top end talent and depth. We are playing IN Texas and owning these guys because we have worn them down.
Welcome back, Jake.
These referees not letting my Trond Grizzell agenda come to fruition
oh he caught a break
Jeff Tedford’s Fresno State bulldogs up 32-28 early Q4 at Purdue👀
Looks like a win for Fresno St. I guess Purdue can console themselves with their massive B10 payout.
Go Tedfords.
Psst... no throwing batteries.
We are so back, for those who come to Dokkabeir see y’all there 🫡

OSU is ranked and can't find a conference.
The lack of presumed worth is not surprising, though, when the Pac was being shown on a network no one had (especially daytime games).
Fire Larry Scott again!
Has GK entered the witness protection program? I haven’t seen or heard about him since the conference crumbled under him.
he was at the CFB playoff meetings
Why would the Pac12 waste the money for a hotel, flight and per diem to send him? Hopefully he attended via Zoom.
He's just waiting for that $50 mil/school deal to be finalized. Any day now...
Any day now, the longer we wait the better the deal gets!

The PAC12 is gonna be good this year.
It really is. At least the Pac12 will go out with a bang instead of a whimper.
PAC12: We're bitter and going out with a bang!
Ere the sun rises!
Yeah, very depressing. Colorado with Prime and a resurgent Pac12 would have probably gotten a very good media deal.
Can I direct my $$$ gift to a revitalized marketing plan and bury that “you see” garbage in a concrete tomb once and for all?
Y’all need to come to the Write for Cal Away Game Watch Party Cz the VIBES WERE IMMACULATE.
We're Immaculate, now.
Christened last year with the Immaculate Encroachment at Norte Dame.
G'night all. Go Bears!!
We gotta celebrate the victory. You can't go to sleep yet

LOL.
An embarrassment of riches.
It's weird to hear us described as being too big and too physical for another team
but are we flying around? because that's also important.
That's what 50 guys from the Transfer Portal will do for you.
Well I did say we would see 2 QB’s…….not like this
Takers
Cal NIL targets $1 million goal in 72 hours; Ron Rivera pledges matching $500,000 donation
Ron is a great man. I would love to see Goff, Rodgers, Lynch and other former NFL guys do the same.
Lynch and DJax are running this NIL
Are they really?
Rodgers gave a million for the locker room; I think he's paid up
You’re right, I forgot about that gift.
and Brown
At the game. Overcast and not overbearingly hot. North Texas band is pretty good
Which makes that stupid piped in music even more of a crime.
We didn't need the points, but the kicking unit needs reps.
That should have been a PI for face guarding.
Good guy ref just wanted to make sure we practiced kicking FGs
For sure. Blatant.
yeah, why wasn't the interference, guy was never looking and went straight into the reciever
The refs just trying to keep the points down.
Holy shit ott looks faster than last year
And buffer.
Let’s fucking go! I’m so pumped.
I liked my own post!
me too!
So do a bunch of us!
WHAT A GREAT DAY TO BE A GOLDEN BEAR!
Second half shutout!

Our backup QB is so much better than the "backup QBs" of the past 15 years.
both our QBs are better than Plummer was last year, whether from talent or coaching
better than Plummer, Bowers, Maynard for sure.
Maybe about the same as Chase and Riley so far, which is good enough.
Yeah, but Bowers had the flip, eh?
That week where he was flipping on the r/CFB banner was so fun
Oh, yeah, Plummer showed some of the same problems and issues in Louisville's game with Georgia Tech. Limited pocket awareness; failed to scramble; dee in the headlights moments; poor reads...
from the looks of things, I would say that it was coaching...
I also think the system is more favorable for a backup to step in and keep the offense at least functional.
good.
1 hour, 50 minutes for a half. Yep, the new clock rules are clearly working...
Brilliant!
YOU KNOW IT!
you tell the story!!
YOU TELL THE STORY
You tell the whole damn world
Denton is Bear Territory!
THIS IS BEAR TERRITORY
THIS IS BEAR TERRITORY!
Alas, there goes the dream of #Drop60.
Perhaps in another game (that feels incredible to say)
Hopefully against USC.
In throwback Joe Roth jersey
Well, with our first team it might have been drop 90.
Next week at home
Just so everyone is clear.
NT is FBS; AAC; no cupcake.
Some people suggested we stay in Pac12 and expand. Imagine being in conference with teams that many people mistake as FCS...
sun belt until this year I think. But six straight bowl games, or something like that
CUSA. Sun Belt before that.
Sun Belt, too, is FBS, right?
yes, all FBS
We should have one more offensive series for Mendoza. Let's go for 61 points.
I wanna let Mendoza air it out a bit. Get him comfortable.
Agreed
ROLL ON YOU BEARS! Spav is the man!
Memorial should be rocking on Saturday night.
I will have to fly up there. Gotta buy ticket.
O line coaching!!
It sure was beautiful watching the running game gain positive yards even when the play call was obvious. I missed having an O-line exert its will.
After much consideration I've determined that I love scoring points
And giving up fewer (RIP TCU).
Yes. And it does take a bit to sink in that we are doing it.
We are? So I'm NOT dreaming.
Are we related!?
Well, your screen name is Daddy and I don't know mine...
306 yards rushing and 312 passing with 11:42 to go.
Lol that Primetime beat Sonny Dykes. Also I love Jayden Ott.
Imagine if Spav had just stayed like Wilcox wanted him to.
We would be in Big 10 next year
Did Wilcox want him to stay?
Yes. But Jake wanted to be a HC.
this is correct
I just thought that Wilcox didn’t want to run a spread and wanted a more 2 TE, smash mouth, Wisconsin style offense.
Also, Spav wanted to be a HC so he left.
Special Teams got a bit of homework. Will need all those missed points next week.
How is that not pass interference?
They didn't see that but they saw a phantom catch. Ridiculous.
That was such a faceguard
The Dozer in at QB!
Something tells me that UNT might not have the greatest defense. But given how we did last year against Davis and UNLV, I'm still thrilled
UNT is FBS...Davis is FCS.
We usually played down to opponent's talent level. We couldn't even put FCS teams away. So the fact that we scored 50+, even if North Texas talent is bad, is a good sign of improvement.
EXACTLY!
Exactly. Which is why I'm not discounting this performance
Yes, they're AAC.
I'm so glad we didn't stay in Pac12 and merge with AAC.
What the second half shows me is that we have good top end talent and depth. We are playing IN Texas and owning these guys because we have worn them down.
OL looking good to you based on the limited info?
Our depth has made them look better as time goes on, even with Cindric out.
Good enough to wear down Texans IN Texas.
#Drop50 or maybe #Drop60??
Damn, Finley throwing some bullets!
Threading needles too…
Yeah.
Have not seen that frequency of precision, seems to me, in while.
Finley is looking sharp. I think he's our new #1 QB.
This gives us more confidence and can understand why it took a while to name QB1
If we can keep our lead I'd like to see Mendoza get some time as well.
And Mendoza is not shabby.
Jesus, these announcers are both so lost.
Too many mimosas before kickoff
and then they put them on camera once or twice and they looked all sweaty and nervous. has to be the F team
Color guy came in here not expecting to talk about our rushing attack? Seriously?
Yeah. Huh?
One for the highlight reel!
our secondary has been average since Alexander left
#Drop60 anyone????
D hasn't scored yet
Mendoza getting in on the fun now.
Mendoza time!
We are playing backup QB? Is that allowed?
I feel like we haven't done that since the Tedford years
When you drop 55, yes!
Drop 55 AND not give up the same
I remember that stupid game in Pullman where they Coug'd a point blank field goal at the end and we won 62-61 or whatever.
The one where Connor Halliday broke the FBS passing record and Trevor Davis ran back two kickoffs for TDs?
We have WR #9 T. Davis to do it again this year.
Yep.
i think 60-59?
That's correct, just looked it up. 2014.
we are playing the 3rd string QB, thats definately not allowed!
