Cal vs. Washington State a 1 pm kickoff on ESPN2
After a month-plus absence, the California Golden Bears return to national television on Senior Day.
The final home game for the California Golden Bears in the Pac-12 will take place against the Washington State Cougars. Kickoff is set for 1 pm Pacific, 4 pm Eastern.
This will only be Cal’s fourth nationally televised game this season. North Texas was on ESPNU, and Auburn and Washington were both late night affairs on ESPN.
The rest of Cal’s Pac-12 slate (Oregon State, Utah, USC, Oregon), along with Idaho have been Pac-12 telecasts.
With the announcement of Cal’s ACC schedule, it is a nice reminder that Cal football will be significantly more accessible with the ACC Network being more readily available around the nation. The other half of Cal’s games will end up on the ESPN family of networks, and maybe one or two games on the CW?
There’s a lot to like. But at least for one week, the Bears will be back on the national spotlight in one of the most winnable games left on their schedule!
I don’t understand why THIS is the game ESPN wanted and not USC or Oregon, but okay.
Inexplicably, I’m going to this game. Sigh.
Chairs, let’s grab a Top Dog!!
