WSU's defense would then have to respect the play action fake, allowing Plummer time to survey the field to his check-downs. If the run game gets shut down, then even Cal's re-vamped O line won't be able to prevent a bunch of hurries, sacks and an eventual loss similar to the Notre Dame game.
We should be underdogs. Without having seen the game yet, on paper I'd predict we lose 6 or 7 out of 10. But my butt will be in the seats at Martin Stadium for what may be a very entertaining game. I hope to wear out my throat with screaming "First and 10, do it again, Go Bears!"
