Cal Women's Basketball: Forward Alaysia Styles to grad transfer
Thank you for your time here, Alaysia!
Cal WBB player Alaysia Styles announced her intent to grad transfer for her final year of eligibility. The 6-3 forward, from La Jolla Country Day School in San Diego, California, was a former top 100 prospect and the 16th ranked wing player in the 2017 class. She played in 31 games last season, starting 30, and an integral part of Coach Charmin Smith’s rotation. She shot 45.6% from the field and 75.4% from the free-throw line. She averaged 8.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. Styles reached career highs in all statistical categories last season.
Thank you for your time here as a Golden Bear, Alaysia! We wish you all the best, wherever you decide to go!
The Bears just added a grad transfer, Jadyn Bush, a 5-11 forward from Harvard to fill Styles' roster spot. That was fast.
This will leave the Bears with one senior and one junior (Olson and Richey) both former walk-ons and they're the only two players left on the squad who played for Gottlieb.
