Excellent review. Will Amaya Bonner be ready to contribute right away? I still don't think Cailyn Crocker and Jazzy Green were 100% this past season. Hopefully they are next season. Karisma Ortiz is a bit of an unknown factor. Will Sela Heide contribute or be plagued by injury/recovery?

You raise some key questions. Crocker, Green and for that matter, Daniels didn't seem to be 100 % ; if they're fully healthy next season and Heide is able to contribute as well it will make a huge difference.

I'm optimistic about next season. We'll certainly learn a lot about Charmin Smith as a head coach.

Yes, player health is key. Crocker never got to last years level and although Heide didn’t get a lot of PT last season, she was a good change up for our undersized team

Daniels started to figure out how to score as a PF defended by taller players. Evelien was solid at 10-15 feet and both are night and day better FT shooters

I’ve always felt a key for this team is jazzy. She has good length, athleticism, defense and is our best shooter… but agree she was injury limited this season

Watching Curry was fun as she has such good ball handling and aggressiveness. She does need to figure out how to play against longer, better athletes of the conference, and part of that is passing the ball, but she is a star

This team will be substantially better next year due to health and experience

But it’s still maybe one player away… a bigger post player that at least can defend. Maybe that’s Michelle next year? (She shouldn’t try to block every shot)

Ortiz (if healthy) and Bonner adds guard depth which may mean more fast breaks and presses which might become our identity, as it matches our personnel and we got one of all time great cal defenders on the bench next to Coach Charmin

I’m optimistic
