What a loaded incoming class!! Excited to see how these players perform this year.
Yes, I would prefer that the McGuire issues had been resolved publicly. He isn't that great of a coach and this would have been a perfect opportunity to part ways with him.
How does one manage to have a mini(?) scandal and still get a top rated incoming class? Can we do that in, say, men's basketball? Best of luck this season Soccer Bears!
One reason may be that women’s soccer recruits early, generally during a player’s sophomore or junior year of HS. So this class was baked before the scandal, etc., and while someone may choose to open up their recruiting in response to turmoil, other target schools likely don’t have available spaces for the very same reason.
