I mentioned this before, but the view of a packed and energized Memorial Stadium was amazing. Even better was when the Tennessee fans I walked up into the Stadium with couldn't believe the student section was on the 50 yard line.
One of my favorite experiences as a Cal fan. An amazing day. A full house. A bigtime opponent with a sizable and enthusiastic, but very friendly visiting fan group. A great game with some sensational plays. And a Cal win. Unforgettable.
Great choice. This game popped up while I was doing a Youtube search several weks back so I decided to watch it. Longshore had a good game and DeSean had that punt return that was brilliant. We were loaded with talent: https://calbears.com/sports/football/roster/2007 It was great to see the stadium so full; we need to get back to those days. We went in as #12 and the Vols were #15 and cocky. We humbled them that day. The next season the stadium started renovations.
