Got my season tickets already, except on the other side of the HEY ALUMNI chant now. Let's give U$C and their little brother a final FU before they run for the snow.
In addition to the listed items, I'm also hoping for a breakout year for Cal WBB and a trip to the postseason...finally. Coach Smith also did very well in the transfer portal to go along with her returning starters. Also, keep an eye out for Lulu Laditan-Twidale, the Australian freshman guard. She could be a difference maker. Hope springs eternal. Go Bears!!!
Sad life that I lead one of the things that has me very excited is the new Nike partnership. I had a very cool Under Armour shirt that I got the first year and wore out, but was never able to get any more cool gear, even though I was willing to dish out the bucks...frustrating. Hoping to stock up on new swag!
I am looking forward to some exciting and competitive football games that result in more wins than losses and a bowl game. Thats it. Oh, and we need to beat the Huskies. It would be extra special to win a bunch of basketball games too. No more Colorados!
Seems as if each year, over the last five, I get asked how Cal will be in football and MBB, and I am always uncertain but think we should be improved. Usually the units that we feel most unsecure about prove problematic.
If things go perfectly, both the men's basketball and football teams will be very exciting. Indeed period this has not happened since the days Of tony gonzales. That was the last time I remember when both programs were legitimate. And also jason kidd.
I am "rooting enthusiastically for a Stanfurd alum" levels of excited. Have never felt so positively about a hire since Phil Jackson joined the Lakers.
I have many reasons to be excited about football but this still seems like 6-6 team even if things go better than expected.
Don't want to cancel you just never want to have to see anymore of your negativity. It's tired and pointless. You're intellectually lazy. I won't respond to your comments anymore because I'm not going to waste another second reading them. So you can stop waiting.
I would add that it's vital all of these things happen because the student sports culture at Cal is in serious jeopardy and the fan base (and revenues), moving forward, will be further reduced if we cannot generate enthusiasm among the students again. While not all Cal students are into spectator sports, I think it balances out the student culture in a positive manner and keeps the student body at Cal from become UC Santa Cruz. Personally, I am skeptical of all the money and change in sports (and, unlike many of my comrades on WFC, I understand where the campus critics are coming from)..but I shutter to think of what Cal would be without athletics. We really need to catch a break this year!

I like your spirit.

What an incredibly stupid, needless comment. In other words, on brand for you.
How egocentric of you to presume your knowledge (or lack thereof) amounts to some sort of qualification of merit.
Your Cal degree has failed you or maybe it was never obtained. ;)

I hope we can look forward to consistent play from our offensive line, and enough depth on offense to be competitive all season long.
Cautiously optimistic and desire to avoid being a negabear come what may.
I am looking forward to high scoring offense led by Spavital.

Hope to be pleasantly surprised.
Hoops will be much improved…like, if things break right, competing for an NCAA bid improved…
Football is a different story, mostly because of the schedule and Wilcox.
I’m genuinely excited for basketball season, I haven’t been excited for basketball in probably 7 years.
Agreed…wanna meet me at the San Juan Capistrano game in November?

Everything….

Nothing….
Do we have an early indication for who will be named the starting QB?
We do, he is busy getting snakes off the plane.
We also know which wallet is his.
And heroes don’t take the stairs…
music to my ears
WFC really needs an ignore user function.
Wrong. I already want Wilcox gone. Try again.
