Sorry we will lose him for one last year but I wish Cam all the success in the world! Go Bears!

Seems like it should be a rule: If you want to play in the D-backfield, you must announce up front that you intend to fulfill the role of a Taker. All the best in the next level, Cam! #TakersForever #GoBears

Good luck Cam with whatever happens. A good personal decision to go for the NFL now and not have the risk of injury and/or Covid impacting his draft status. Next man up!

I once ate a popsicle and the joke on the stick was "How many Bears does it take to write one WFC article?"

Cam’s one of my favorite players on Cal! Going to miss seeing him in Berkeley! Time to represent us well on Sundays!

I’m happy for him and understand his decision. I am bummed we won’t get to see him play this final season for Cal.

Just when you think Cal can have nice things: Cam not declaring after last season and coming back, the NCAA giving Luc an extra medical season to play and an even year season the universe decides to remind us that we are Cal and can’t have nice things.

With all due respect, every team faces disadvantages, particularly in the face of the pandemic. Wisely sucking it up to outwait the virus and protect players, fans and support staffs, the Pac 12 made the hard call and Mr. Bynum’s departure is an unfortunate yet understandable consequence. When we stop saying, even in jest, that Cal isn’t this or doesn’t have that or never will be the other, then we will have turned the corner toward great achievement and only then will it ever happen.

Even year seasons mean we have UW, Oregon, USC, and Stanford all at Memorial. Which means the teams that are typically considered the strength and best of our conference/division and main rival all have to play us at Memorial.

Wow. How perfectly obvious. Thanks.

P.S. Please remind me of the significance of even-year seasons. Better? Why? Thanks.

I'm going to miss Cam a lot. It was a true privilege getting to ask him if he was the best shutdown corner in the conference last summer. He didn't disagree with that assessment!
