Cal defensive back Camryn Bynum is heading to the next level. Bynum will be playing in the 2021 Senior Bowl on January 30 to showcase his talent to the NFL scouts.
After originally planning to prepare for the NFL Draft early, Bynum returned for the abbreviated Pac-12 season and was Cal’s only first-team All Pac-12 member in 2020. Bynum logged 19 tackles, three tackles for loss, two pass breakups, and an interception. This was off the heels of a 2019 campaign that saw Bynum with 63 tackles, three TFL, nine passes broken up, and another interception.
Bynum joins Jake Curhan among the Cal seniors to declare for the draft.
While Bynum is a senior, all college football seniors do have the option of returning for an additional year of college, so there is still some ambiguity as to who will be back with the Bears for one more go-around. Many Bears like Kuony Deng, Elijah Hicks, Michael Saffell, Kekoa Crawford, and Cameron Goode will have the chance to return if they choose to. Expect more decisions in the coming weeks.
Looking forward to seeing you at the next level Cam!
My favorite Wilcox Era player! Can’t wait to see him ball on Sundays!
