Great job Christopher. No worries about the middle age thing; as I recall it was a great time. The Clemson offense has potential, I just hope it doesn't click Friday night and our defense keeps them from rolling. We can do that. Cal's defense appears to be getting better with each game. It is our offense that concerns me. Just not coming together yet. Go Bears!

I, like our friend CalBear91, always read these with a mixture of dread, seeing their strengths, and relief, also noting their weaknesses. But I really love these breakdowns...and in marked contrast to a certain Wagner post, I applaud the brevity! Go Bears Forever...getting psyched for Friday!

Well, Clemson did me a favor by not having many offensive highlights.

Obviously, Cal has not fared well wen facing a team with a big, fast tough QB who handles the play action well. Last year we couldnt stop a running QB on a losing team who just kept doing the same rpo (Virginia Tech i think) and the quinticential examole being Nevada and Colin K. Neither QB could pass worth a s____, but we never adjusted/did not have the personel to stop. This year theres reazon to be optomistic with much better coaching ( both HC and DC) and faster, more physical LBs.

These posts always terrify me from the thorough presentation of the capabilities of the players and schemes, and then he brings you back down to reality with their faults and issues. I should only read the faults and issues, as my imagination does enough to inflate the capabilities of any team we play.

After locking down Von Stickyhands last game, I think the cal secondary is more than up to the task

Thank you for the analysis.

I think this is going to be a huge struggle for us - match ups are bad for us and, regardless of its record last year and this year, Clemson still has massive talent.

But this is the opportunity. We missed it with UCLA this year but defeating Clemson at home in a nationally televised game (yes, late start on the East Coast and it is a Friday, but nothing is competing with it) would such a momentum boost. Which means, the obvious flaws we have seen thus far better start to be fixed for this game. Win this game and that minimum 8-4 season that defines "success" this year can be achieved. Lose it, and the downward spiral becomes almost inevitable.

Oh Oh. A big QB who likes to "tuck it and run" scares me. I'm sure the coaching staff has prepared for this
