Their road schedule is absolutely brutal next year. After an anything but neutral site opener against Tennessee in Atlanta, their road games are at Notre Dame, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Miami, & SMU.
Even their home games are tough, UConn, Boston College, Duke, North Carolina, & Pitt, all bowl teams this year. Literally the only "easy" game is Colgate.
Yeah, we can never be sure of any team, especially this far in advance, and certainly not in these times. But there are a lot of track records there. And no Wake Forest, Purdue, or Cal on a cross country road trip on a short week there!
You could have bought tickets and made a 3 day trip out of the Holiday Bowl every year for 50 years with no knowledge of what teams were going to be there and it would have been a great investment.
Very true. Between the games always being fun and entertaining, plus San Diego weather and attractions, it is easily a top 5 bowl game in terms of game and destination.
In the postseason ACC teams are winless so far. It didn’t help that the Vandy penalty-dominated drive put GT down eight. One of the penalties was an obvious hold. Don’t know about the unsportsmanlike penalties, but certainly (per commentators and the expert ref consultant they brought on) that PI was bogus against the Jackets. Commodores are pouring it on now.
I watched OU & Navy make multiple compensating bad decisions on 4th down calls, which did not work, and then the Sooner coach, goes for 2 to loose the game that he could have gotten into OT. I continue to not understand how coaches continue to get high paying jobs in leadership who do not understand simple grade school math.
SC looks to have a lack of understanding of how to run a two minute offense at the end of the 1st half. Playing for a FG. Is this Cal?
Syracuse 10 wins and well earned
Syracuse was impressive. And really good.
I was proud of and impressed with the Cougs too. They have their next QB, in a very long line of pretty good gunslingers.
Yeah, I expected Syracuse to win since WSU lost their HC, QB and other portal players but they played tough and fought hard.
McCord had a great season, hopefully he gets to come back next season. If he does, Syracuse would be favorites to win the ACC.

Damn, that is a tough schedule but we will see how some of these teams reload.
Notre Dame, Duke, Clemson, and Miami will all have new QBs next season so they could all be taking a step back.

Entertaining Holiday Bowl per usual

except 2004
But 06 was great.

RIP Greg Gumbel
A legend
Gentlemen, we might have an old school, high scoring Holiday Bowl!
Cougs giving Syracuse a game.
these officials HATE Georgia Tech wow

Always nice to see an SEC team go down.
What's the deal with the Run Your Pool site? Haven't able to log in to update my picks for several days.
Had an admin issue that should resolve itself by tomorrow

I have no issues with Oklahoma going to for 2 and the win in regulation.
The color commentator loved the decision.
Yeah, but he won't be the one who gets fired for avoidable losses.
But the loss wasn’t avoidable, going to OT isn’t a guarantee that Oklahoma would win.
No post on Desean getting the Delaware state job?
Posted earlier in the DBD 12-27-2024 thread.
FIRE WILCOX!
That’s the only headline this blog should be posting!!
Good luck to all the players and their teams du jour.
Go Cougs! ?
I would love both Cougs to get a dub this weekend. Love too see BYU embarrass coach prime and Wazzu show some PAC-12 superiority.
