Gophers hook the would be game winning FG wide as time runs out. After running a play that moved the ball out of the middle of the field. PJ rowed his way out of a win, and Mack wins again when he probably shouldn't have. But he did get out of Minneapolis with the W.
I can't tell if you're joking or not... Bachmeier was 4* out of HS and led Boise State to a win over Florida State in his first game... just in case you're serious...
My point was just that he's been good for a while so it's not exactly a surprise... though he has not yet lived up to expectations overall. I agree they will be tough. He is good, but don't go to their football games. Go to their basketball games. Krispy Kreme #1 is in Winston-Salem and (at least used to) stays open late after basketball games. The crowd is so friendly and the donuts (doughnuts) are SO good when they're fresh...
You had me at doughnuts. Yes, I’d love to go to games back East, but it’s not in the cards, for now.
Having Southern ancestors, I feel like some of my schoolmates might need some lessons on manners. Southern people are the nicest people in the World until you piss them off.
Fun fact: Krispy Kreme was a favorite with Elvis
I guess I should pay more careful attention to other, non-P12 players, like Bachmeier. One huge upside of the realignment is forcing us, as fans, to step out of our comfort zones. Comfortable fans typically do not inspire rare performances on the field.
Yeah, I admit I only really know about Bachmeier because one of my best friends from CAL eventually landed in Boise and raised his family there...
Another friend and I used to go to Dream Fluff sometimes. Before they officially opened each morning they would unlock the doors. A few folks each morning would pull down chairs and sit with coffee to snag the first ones straight outta the kitchen. Those were great. It looks like DF is still around but I have no idea if they still let folks in early.
Back in my time, on the North Side was Colonial Doughnuts. After Midnight runs to Giant Hamburgers and CD were very popular. One could watch one's doughnuts frying.
Yeah, NDSU is really good but so far, the same issues Colorado had last season, lack of a running game and a questionable defense seem to be a problem in this game.
Agreed, but besides NDSU isn't coach whats-his-name continuing to spout how good the Bufs are? I think a couple of reporters should be banned after this for asking, "If you guys are so good then how come you had trouble with (admittedly even a good) FCS team?"
I think he can build a good team, but given a probably first round QB and all-everything 2 way player, couldn't they do better than this?
I'm not too surprised NCS sputters on O (a couple good 75 yd drives and some crap) but I am a little surprised they aren't better on D. Besides the drops, that 50 yd QB run was not just holes but also weak tackles. Some of both showing up all over even though WC is just not good enough mostly to take advantage. I picked (not betting) NCS but even if they were leading coming into the half I would have to say they're not beating the opps much less the spread.
they are big animals, but not mean or aggressive. That said, getting your foot accidentally stomped on by a 2,000 pound Beast is gonna cause some serious damage.
San Jose St vs Sacramento St. was a good won to watch last night. Local interest in two overlooked teams.
Minnesota hooked the game winning FG.
Wild. UNC kicker won the game while gophers kicker lost it.
Hit the right upright earlier. Should have known to get to the left of center, not right.
Yeah, I thought Minnesota was going to run it to down the ball closer to the left of center rather than the right
The Duel of the Kicking Fates
ACC wins!
Daaayum! UNC kicker is a weapon. He def getting ST player of the week.
It’s so odd to watch CFB with a 2 minute warning but it makes sense so that they can sale more ads and commercials during a game.
There's a two minute warning now?
Yep. Only been publicized 23,748 times (and counting) since approved this off season.
I must have read it but forgot about it. Thanks.
I forgot until tonight. I am surprised that CFB didn’t change their kickoff format.
They might after the bad injury in the San Jose, Sac St game on a kick off return.
Yes, but... it's not to sell anything. They don't stop the clock on 1st downs except in the last 2 minutes now. It's part of speeding up the game.
So even Dykes might finish a game in 3 hours?
games aren't any shorter. The saved time is replaced with extra commercials.
That’s why we are in the ACC now.
“How can I squeeze this for the most money possible?” - America
It’s working because I’m watching UNC vs Minnesota when I should be going to bed.
So does CFB switch to the new NFL kickoff format next season?
UNC kicker brunette getting ACC ST player of the week. That’s my prediction anyways.

Yep, he is the ACC ST player of the week.
I feel bad because we obviously hate Mac brown, but I want the ACC to be good so I’m cheering for UNC.
How come we never see Mack Brown and Bill Bellichick in the same room?
Let’s go ACC!
We should do that same fumble-recovery-First-and-Goal
Hey, Wake Forest has a really good QB.
I can't tell if you're joking or not... Bachmeier was 4* out of HS and led Boise State to a win over Florida State in his first game... just in case you're serious...
I am serious. They’re gonna be tough. He threaded the needle on some broken plays.

Could be a long year for Colorado on defense. Their pass offense looks great but their rush offense is non existent again.
just like last year
Buffs just went 80 yards on 17 plays that burned 8:10 to go up 31-20 mid 4th quarter, the first time it has not been a 1 score game (at most).
Bizon pull back within 31-26, but the conversion pass is incomplete, 2:19 left.
Bizon come up 4 yards short as time expires.
Was that PI call on 3rd down on NDSU legit? I didn’t see the play?
Yes. Totally legit.
DB ran straight thru the receiver and never looked back.
Thanks
In fairness, a lot of Colorado's challenges have a lot to do with how good ND St is.
Yeah, NDSU is really good but so far, the same issues Colorado had last season, lack of a running game and a questionable defense seem to be a problem in this game.

NC State just dropped two interception attempts in a row to open the game
and just gave up a huge one to their own 5 yard line

Gonzalez, Western Carolina QB went to Manning QB Camp. I wonder if he got to know Nando, there
I love Ralphie(!) but did you notice how worried that woman on the right side of the pic looks? Running with a bison takes guts!

we need to bring live bears back to Memorial
Bears, in Berkeley?
PETA would shut us down
Why us and not all the other live mascots?
Well, you are in Berkeley. Local demographic not exactly like some places that embrace their mascot.
The funny thing about PETA is they believe in euthanizing healthy, adoptable animals. IMHO, with friends like PETA, animals need no enemies.
bcos our Admin woudl fold like a cheap lawn chair. Other schools have a spine.
