Thankful for and proud of all those who made this happen, including the awesome team, coaches, AMAZING calgorithm feeders, and Cal leadership. I’ve already had east coast friends texting me about it- definitely massive for Cal. GO BEARS!
This article acts like this is the first time this has ever happened. GameDay likes to take opportunities to visit new locations and with a highly-ranked Miami team coming in and a decent Cal team hosting its first ever ACC game (combined with a fairly weak slate of other games) there is a good opportunity here. That's it! Not every GameDay visit has been for an amazing matchup on the field.
He is a breath of fresh air and I am afraid the contrast to Christ will be sharp and make clear the mere lip service of support by the previous regime.
I have long thought that we should tap into the on-campus talent maybe working with a professional for some sort of inter-disciplinary practicum course credit. Students get experience and mentorship from a pro(s) and/or existing professor(s) in the field.
If this doesn’t hype us up to actually do something in the first half (score a lot), then I don’t know what will. At least come out with far more energy than Miami.
Also, Wilcox has yet another chance to take this program to the next level. Always pulling for him to do it but will be very critical if we do a face plant.
For sure the Wazzu flag attendance tradition on College Gameday will continue haha. Anyways, I’m grateful to see a College Gameday at Berkeley in my lifetime. Go Bears!
It still sucks that the Pac-12 fell apart, but the ACC has been such a massive boon for Cal football media coverage. I don't think this happens without three straight weeks on ESPN networks to help build visibility, along with all the Twitter memes of course. And yes, Miami needed to do their part. But just thinking about the old ways . . . even one of those games being stuck on Pac-12 Network probably stalls the momentum. And now we're here!
No your living in the past. There something called the portal and NIL. Its legal to play for pay now! Now all schools can legally participate. This year we have the players to win. If we don't win, it falls on the coaches and administration to put a winning product on the field.
We've got the chance
Now you go out and take it.
Memorial Glade will look like this:

Maybe the aroma will be similar also…
What was that event?
The date is the clue
Oh, right, man, groovy, Baby.

This is amazing, sensational, dramatic, exciting, thrilling!!*
Huge props to Cal fans and the Calgorithm, and of course the TEAM and the staff, imperfect as we may all be, who helped make this all possible.
*Not heart rending, but so what
More evidence that The university of spoiled children are some the worst humans on earth.

Even if we were ever to get in the B!G, I’d prefer it if we never played $C, again.
They can spin it that we’re “afraid.”
Scum that they are.

Awesome exposure. Great opportunity. GO BEARS!!!!
Amazing opportunity for the program. Now let’s shock the world with a W over Miami!!
One word.Terrific.
And chancellor Lyons issuing an official statement is icing on the cake.
100%. He gets it!

Also his business acumen should make him a successful fundraiser and help greatly with integrating NIL into the athletic programs.

Looking forward to seeing Corso don the Oski head.
I'm pretty sure they're all going to pick Miami, like they did Auburn. But, as a make-up call, one will be the exception, usually Herbie.
Then Corso will have several angry internet commenters to answer to.
Fear the Calgorithm!

Dropping in here as a Berkeley Law alum, but hardcore Husky fan…I love this so much for Cal. And feeling a little proud.
What a time to be alive
Calgorithm uber alles!

Happy to throw off the chains of $C oppression and bullying of the conference.
