That was some clutch golf, and confident drives!

What a great young man and what a life story. His parents were not golfers. Mom dropped him off at the local muni in Glendale to give him something to do as a kid. I loved the way he acknowledged help from some of the grizzled vets on the tour during his victory speech. For putting, 64-year-old Mark O'Meara helped him with the claw grip this week. For chipping, 60-year-old Paul Azinger game him some on the course advice that he directly credited for winning. American golf is in great hands, though I rarely see the younger guys at my local course.

Back-to-back tour wins for Cal guys, love it! I understand that golfers their age idolized Tiger as a golfer, but I'm really happy that neither of them wore red on Sunday.

Yes the PGA Tour is Bear Territory and Notah Begay will have to get used to it (no knock on Notah, I like the chap). It is impressive that within 1 week Collin can make a whole sale change to his putting grip and putt as well as he did under all that pressure. On the PGA Tour putting wins championships. If Collin can keep this putting going, watch out!!

I did get a chuckle when the announcer said Collin would've dressed in red but his shirt complete with logos had not arrived in time. Ah, no Mr. Announcer Cal Bears do not wear red. Clever excuse by Collin's PR staff and made for a good laff.
