One of the differences between British and American English is that in the states we say an athlete had good speed while in England they say he has good pace.
Yes. Metcalf had a long catch for a TD in Memorial Stadium, in the first half when it looked like Ole Miss would blow Cal out. I remember how fast he was running after the catch -his straight line speed had NFL written all over it.
Marshall Faulk enters his senior year after finishing second in the Heisman voting as a junior. The Fighting Jerott Willards and Cal defense held Marshall Faulk to 64 yards on 22 carries.
The Ducks’ Herbert’s game vs. the Bears at Memorial where he threw a last minute INT was quite a lovely ending to that game. I think he was not bad in that game, but it was apparent he had some coverage reading issues in need of improvement. I guess you could say the same about Luck his Freshman year when he was picked off with the clock winding down on the Farm. That interrupted what appeared to be an historic ‘Furd comeback in the making. These two drives, led by the two young QB’s, could each have gone down in history as legacy defining points in their respective college careers. Kunaszyk and Mohamed instead provided two of the best moments in Cal football history.
It was satisfying to see the tens of thousands of rabid Vikings fans silenced. On a night when the emotions of the LA fire disaster are so raw, I was happy to see the Rams get this one. This was their night, to enjoy a brief diversion. Happy for them. The pregame speech and the Star Spangled Banner (Rachel Platten, holding back tears until the final note) were very moving.
i cleverly left my laptop at home and had planned to work here for 2.5 days. luckily i was able to borrow a laptop from my sis-in-law who we are staying with.
I went down to the Capitol and back on my run. There is fencing and barricades all the way back to the Washington Monument. They’re taking security for this inauguration seriously.

DeSean Jackson had lots of speed.
Has it been discussed here, that Jackson became a college football Head Coach?
Discuss is a strong word
How about mention?

Thanks, I was there but I don't remember much about that game other than Cam Goode's Interception.

Jared Price had a career day and was constantly beating LT Solder and making sacks on Colorado QB.

The potential Sec of Defense is not so smart when he isn't getting fed information via a teleprompter

I'd be surprised if they weren't.

It’s time for another edition of Oski Disciple’s Question of the Day.
You often hear people say or write: “I thought to myself.” Absent having mental telepathy who else can you “think to”?
Oh I have a few people and know exactly what they are thinking in certain moments (and vice versa).
