Forever Champion of the bald guy John Middlekauf reported on Tuesday’s Haberman and Middlekauf podcast that those Davis pics are most likely photoshopped and he actually hasn’t shaved the head…if true, the worst haircut in professional sports remains in play!! ;-)
They got really great draws in the playoffs: depleted Denver, inexperienced Memphis and subsequent Morant injury, then missing Phoenix in the conference finals. Hard to see that happening again.
I know…and I totally understand it from his perspective - he’ll do better with an open market given the drastically overpaid nature of even merely mediocre QB play.
Raiders, who have only one quarterback under contract, Chase Garbers, are searching for a full-time starter at QB for the first time since Carr won the job as a rookie in 2014.
Yes, actually due North of Lake Powell. We did Coyote Gulch in 2018 and will go somewhere else this trip, to be determined. Probably a 2-3 night backpacking trip with some day hiking and overland touring for a few days. There is so much to explore out there, 9 days of Spring Break is never enough when you factor in the 12 hour drive each way, without stopping. I highly recommend this over the NPs for Spring Break as it is far less crowded.
Bendini, Lambert and Locke really did a number on recent Harvard law grad Mitch McDeere down that way awhile back. Lawyers for that firm sure run into a lot of trouble. And man, poor Avery Tolar…
Wife and I stayed on Grand Cayman in 2000. We rented a scooter and had a blast going all around. We actually managed to find some pockets with nobody else around, including a seaside graveyard.
I am gonna eventually have to get down that way to hit the Virgin Islands National Park…that and Samoa figure to be doozies, plus the 47 or however many there are in rural Alaska.
Because of the remote, undeveloped nature of this hike, Parks Canada requires all Long Range backpackers to complete an extensive preparatory ritual that includes a safety video, an interview with a ranger, and a navigation exam.

this new national park in Canada looks sufficient remote as well
When I lived in Anchorage, I once flew down to Seward for the day for work. There was no co-pilot so the pilot asked if I wanted to sit up front. Great view flying down then circling over the bay before landing.
Seward is a great little town. well known as a jumping off point to lots of great Alaskan stuff nearby. Homer, AK, was similar but more of a fishing village.
you can takes seaplanes to remote little islands where you can see bears pretty up close. it is not cheap, but supposed to be super cool. on our list of things to do ..
We were supposed to do an Alaskan cruise as a family in June 2020, leaving out of Seward...was gonna bang out Kenai Fjords National Park as well...it got COVID'd...Seward is still very much on my list.
We did an Alaskan cruise in 2017 and had a great time. We flew into Anchorage and spent some time there before heading up to Denali for 3 days. Came back to Anchorage and took the train from Anchorage to Seward, the train ride was beautiful. Hopped on the cruise ship the next day but got to spend about two days in Seward and did a boat tour of Resurrection Bay, went to the Seward aquarium and spent sometime at their brewery.
I did a weeklong Inside Passage cruise to Juneau/Skagway/Ketchikan in ‘14 with the terriblehorriblenogoodverybad ex…our first big vacation. And much like Italy, a solo return trip is on my list to fully enjoy these places. ;-)
When I’m a 1-dog house, the pup and I may drive up to Alaska and spend 6 months….
Alaska a visual paradise. so much stunning stuff you dont see normally and it is such a BIG state.
also, if you get a chance, it is well worth going inland to Denali NP.
the best thing we did was take a small plane out of Talkeetna that took you above the clouds and you saw Mt Denali and the snow and mountains from 17k-20k ft. also, weather permitting, they land on a glacier and you walk around for a bit.
this first dozen or so photos are from the flight/glacier landing.
So now that Newellbany and I have banged out all the MLB parks, visiting all 63 of the US National Parks is on the bucket list…I’ve done Glacier Bay, but to hit the 7-8 other Alaska ones, I’m gonna have to spend some time up there!! Can’t wait.

Kushner gets $2.0b in funds and then restructured to hide the funds usage. Now Kushner/Trump are developing a $4b property for the Saudis.
I doubt Kushner ever filed proper disclosures, objectives, and bylaws of his fund, which is basically PE 101. If you had more than 1 limited partner it would have to be disclosed. He has, essentially one LP.

Connor Essegian is going to haunt Kobe Bufkin's dreams. Bufkin fouled Essegian three times in the *final 3:25* resulting in 6 points for Wisconsin. Michigan went from being 1 down at 3:25 remaining to losing by 5.
I dunno…while this alleged incident clearly came during the new HC’s tenure, it is hard to imagine this type of hazing wasn’t a part of the NMSU MBB culture prior to the ‘22-‘23 season in Las Cruces….kinda shines the light on former coach Chris Jans, who took over for Ben Howland at Mississippi State in the spring. Good news everyone. I had a dream last night that the football team went 8-4 in 2023 and got a Sun Bowl bid against Texas Tech. This is especially encouraging because all my dreams come true (which is why I have a Pulitzer Prize).

Though granted, I also thought so last year.
it would be a minor miracle to make it thru the playoffs this year.
last year seemed like there was an outside chance of it all coming together nicely.
They got really great draws in the playoffs: depleted Denver, inexperienced Memphis and subsequent Morant injury, then missing Phoenix in the conference finals. Hard to see that happening again.
True, tho that title does certainly lessen the sting of completely whiffing on Wiseman…and maybe Moody?

I know…and I totally understand it from his perspective - he’ll do better with an open market given the drastically overpaid nature of even merely mediocre QB play.
Still, it’s a waste for the Raiders.
It's not as if the Raiders have been a model for effective personnel management in recent times.
