Tiger's is facing an uncertain future. And if they mean "uncertain" to mean being still rich, popping pills, rolling cars, and banging East Florida waitresses, then yeah.
Dodgers and Giants both win the off-day. Weird to have an offday on Sun. Giants had one on Thurs and Sun. Giants have played 3 games and had 2 days off.
Not directly, but DragonCon in Atlanta over Labor Day weekend was in the convention hotel connected to my old office building. Such great people watching- costumes amazing. We also went to a few of the DragonCon parades, always a good time/fun viewing. Big turnout in Atl for that.
I did just mean any type of CON. Anytime I hear Star Trek convention I think of the SNL William Shatner skit. I wish I could find the whole thing but this might be the closest. I'm sure lots of people of a certain age remember this skit.
I did seem Shatner in person in the first Star Trek Con I went to. It was in a smallish hotel meeting room in the Los Angeles area, room could have held 200 people but only about 50 people there. This was maybe 1989.
Shatner himself said something like "I'm here because I get paid to be here. I will take questions." He really wasn't into being there, as the SNL skit portrays.
Some guys dressed as Klingons walked up to him and he said "You guys are tall." Later I stood next to the same Klingon guys and noticed they weren't that tall, clearly Shatner is on the shorter side.

i have my annual physical today and i can't eat anything till 1130a because that is when they will do all the blood tests. kinda poor planning
Have my annual tomorrow. Already had my blood test, think I aced it, studied hard enough.
I like it when the bloodwork is done early so at the appointment numbers/flags can be actually discussed.

Led by 14 against Houston in the Final Four, lost
Led by 17 against Texas Tech, lost
Led by 13 against UNC, lost
Led by 19 against UConn in the Elite 8, lost
I'm not on X- I'm hoping Seth Trimble sent that UConn frosh a "Feels good, doesn't it". So satisfying that it happened to Dook AGAIN this season.
Welcome to the club!
I guess it was slightly better for Cal if Duke advanced and the ACC got a bigger tournament payout, but whatever, screw Duke.
Both Duke basketball teams went out, a great and glorious day.
