Astronomers have found binary white dwarf stars that are nearly ready to go supernova only 150 light years away and will become 10x brighter than the moon. "Nearly" is astronomical terms, which is 9 billion years, by when the earth and moon will have already been engulfed by our own sun when it turns into a red giant.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/44532896/grizzlies-ja-morant-fined-75k-finger-gun-gestures

MIAMI -- Ja Morant showed off an imaginary gun. The NBA hit back with a real fine.

A day after Morant again used his aiming-a-gun gesture to celebrate making 3-pointers, the Grizzlies' star was fined $75,000 by the league Friday. It's the second time this week that Morant -- who was suspended twice in 2023 for incidents with actual weapons -- heard from the league about mimicking the act of using a gun during a game.

The Lakers offense struggled for most of the night on Thursday, leading to the Warriors grabbing a 123-116 win in Crypto.com Arena. The Lakers drop back down to the No. 4 seed with the loss.

While the team shot 45.3% from the field overall, almost all of that came in the fourth quarter. Golden State, meanwhile, went 19-42 from the 3-point line to punish the purple and gold.

the shooting the in 4th quarter was unbelievable by both teams, Podziemski, Curry, James, Reeves were all hitting deep 3s ..

fun to watch and glad to see the Ws come out on top. and to be fair, at crunch time, it was defense by Draymond and stability by Butler that sealed the win.

US Senate passes budget blueprint. If you were to come up with a specific line-items that were to benefit the Donald Trump (ie, reduce tax bracket rates, increase AMT exemptions, more business deductions, allow business losses to be rolled forward more, favorable treatment of income shields like trusts, lower estate taxes, expand loopholes for more "charitable" donations deductions, increase gift tax exemption, extend removal of itemized deduction caps) - then you're in luck.
