Warriors up 3-1 after a tight back-and-forth game. once again Butler was a stabilizing presence down the stretch and everyone did their part, including Draymond doing Draymond things and nearly getting himself kicked out of the game. to his credit, he played amazing D down the stretch all while carrying 5 fouls.
strangely (or not)... W's are the 7 seed and up 3-1 while Lakers are 3 seed and down 3-1. i guess all the teams seeds 3-9 were only separated by a few games in the standings so there might not be as much difference as the seeds imply.
The Golden State Warriors took a commanding 3-1 series lead over the Houston Rockets on Monday night in a tightly-contested 109-106 victory. While the Rockets were able to hold Steph Curry to just 17 points on 6-for-13 shooting from the field, the Warriors supporting cast stepped up. The closer, of course, had to be Jimmy Butler III.
The surprise is that the Dubs are up 3-1 on the Rockets, a team that won 52 in the regular season. But this is probably indicative of the difference that Butler makes to the Dubs, re-shaping the postseason in a way that is... unusual.
The Rockets won during the regular season on the strength of their D and I don't think their O was that great. Warriors are playing much better D than most of the teams they played all season so I think that's why Vegas had the Ws as the favorites.
The Dodgers and Marlins seemingly played a few different games on Monday night at Dodger Stadium. Though it took longer than they would have liked, the Dodgers won the opener 7-6 in the 10th inning for their third victory in a row and third walk-off win of the season.

What's weird to me is OKC played 4 games when the Ws/Rockets played 2. With the 2 days in-between it was weird. Probably some of it is OKC and Memphis are relatively close together so travel didn't take that long. Also they probably wanted the Warriors in primetime just about each day.
Isn't that kind of a scheduling bug of the first round? There are 8 matchups in the 1st Round, so having 4 of those matchups on a weeknight is probably unavoidable at some point. Wednesday's schedule has only two games (GS vs. HOU and MIN at LAL), but Thursday and Friday nights have three games each scheduled.
I like the walking bear logo. On the state outline, maybe not so much. I think with the state it makes the logo too vertical. If only had a more E/W state than a N/S state.
Careful, now. You probably do have cousins, even if you don't have a first cousin. A second cousin, for example, would have common great-grandparents with you.

Seeds 2-8 were very tightly packed (52 wins down to 48). There was a pretty big gap from there to 9 (Sacramento at 40-42).

4 overlapping NBA playoff games tonight. that is sort of strange scheduling for the NBA on a weeknight.
