Hamilton, a three-time NAIA champion who transferred to Cal this year from British Columbia, won Cal's first conference title in the men's hammer since 1919 at the Pac-12 Championships last weekend. He earned Pac-12 Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors twice, once after taking this year's collegiate lead with a mark of 77.16m (253-2) – the eighth best by a collegian all time – and again after breaking the Big Meet record on April 30.
