A’s drop finale to Braves 4-2

https://www.athleticsnation.com/2023/5/31/23744391/braves-vs-athletics-final-score

The Oakland Athletics hung tough again, but saw their two-game winning streak come to an end with a 4-2 loss to the Atlanta Braves.

Esteury Ruiz got the game started off right, by reaching base on an Orlando Arcia error. Ruiz stole second to up his major league leading total to 28, but was picked off for the third straight game. Ryan Noda worked a two-out walk, but Ramon Laureano popped out to leave him stranded.

Nationals hit five home runs off Noah Syndergaard & friends to beat Dodgers

https://www.truebluela.com/2023/5/31/23744506/nationals-home-runs-noah-syndergaard-dodgers

On Dave Roberts’ birthday, the Dodgers handed him a rather sloppy 10-6 loss to the Nationals, with poor situational play as the lineup failed to produce with runners in scoring position, thus failing to pick up another poor start by Noah Syndergaard.

With 11 hits, and six stolen bases, there were plenty of chances for the Dodgers to secure this sweep, but for all that work, five of the team’s six runs came on the long ball, and in this slug fest, that just wasn’t enough as the Nationals slammed five home runs to avoid a sweep.

Good month fizzles out with 9 - 4 loss

https://www.mccoveychronicles.com/2023/5/31/23744748/mlb-final-san-francisco-giants-pittsburgh-pirates-recap-5-31-2023

After a 14-4 blowout win against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday—in a game full of “big hits” with 8 extra base hits (6 doubles and 2 HRs) while going 9 for 18 with runners in scoring position—the San Francisco Giants were unable to ride the offensive way and dropped the next two match-ups in the series to close out the sweet month of May on a sour note.

Wednesday’s 9 - 4 loss wasn’t for lack of opportunities or a certain level of success against a tough pitcher. San Francisco’s offense swatted 10 hits and 4 runs against RHP Mitch Keller with 12 hits total and batting 3 for 7 with RISP.

There are now a string of different reports leaking out about Trump's classified document problems. First, WaPo says he's on tape bragging about a sensitive document about Iran and knowing the legal and security concerns about him having it. Secondly, there are mixed info on what those documents were, but one story-line is that it was a plan for a first-strike on Iran. There are unconfirmed reports that Trump had dug up the first strike option as a wag-the-dog option to garner support ahead of the election and as a possible excuse to leverage the military to seize power if he lost. And he reportedly floated that document to some who didn't have clearance. General Milley had to talk Trump off the ledge from going to war as a smoke screen. Milley reportedly was so worried that he warned the Joint Chiefs to not take illegal orders from Trump. And Milley reportedly was called to testify in front of a Congressional committee to explain himself. If true, not only is Trump looking at Obstruction, he's looking at Espionage Act - let alone the pure evil of starting a war because you can't win an election.

So, she lived in my area leading into the 2020 election. My good friend's sister befriended her. Caveat, my good friend's sister is a kookoo crazy Berner and swears by Reade's account. Funny thing, as Reade was skipping out of town, my friend, being one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, agreed to help with the move. Instead, of helping Reade move, he found that he instead unknowingly signed up to haul all the crap that Reade left in her place to the dump. If you look at Reade's background, this seems to be how she operates. The items included a couch. My friend and I joked that we should put it up for auction and donate the funds to Biden's 2020 campaign.
