Fate

In ancient Greek religion and mythology, the Moirai, often known in English as the Fates—were the personifications of destiny. They were three sisters: Clotho (the spinner), Lachesis (the allotter), and Atropos (the inevitable, a metaphor for death).

usually if you were alive and saw them, then you knew the end was near ...

I just think about the fates in Percy Jackson.

BTW, I do like the new Percy Jackson series a little better than the movies. They also seem to follow the book a little better than the movie. Which I guess an 8(?) episode series can do better than a 2 hour movie.

Southern Food is more than that style of food. I recommend going to the public library and checking out two of Sean Brock's books: Heritage and South: Essential Recipes. Brock took a deeeeeep dive into Southern food. Also, "High on the Hog" on Netflix is also a good watch.

that was great trip and great to be at that game. we were up 21 or something in the 2nd half.

i do remember thinking that even we were up 21 that we had a good chance of blowing it.

Disagree. We'd have felt hard done losing that game. We played a superior team toe-to-toe and gave up a 4th and 19 to let them almost steal it. The last play aside there was nothing fluky about our performance.

But we should win every game.

Probably an unreasonable expectation/goal.

kidding ... i didnt follow too closely, but it seemed like that was very likely going to happen once the plea bargain got tossed out.

Without having sat through the testimony, I expect he was probably guilty. My only concern is that there are probably tens of thousands who lie on their gun application and how many are prosecuted?

If you think Cal will have it easier playing baseball in the ACC, you are mistaken.

Clemons (#3), UNC (7) FSU (10), NC State (12), UVA (16), Duke (17), Wake Forest (22) vs. Oregon State (6), Arizona (18), Oregon (23). There are tons of baseball fields out here.

I think half the CWS teams are from the ACC and 3 are from the SEC and 1 from the Big-12. ACC baseball is going to be rough next year.

Does Cal have an NIL structure set up for its baseball recruits and transfers? Do they draw from Cal Legends? BTW, there is no question this year’s Cal team (36-19, winning twenty of its final twenty-five games) could have done some significant damage in the NCAA tournament if they hadn’t been ridiculously snubbed.
