One is married with two kids. I am happy for her, but I stay out of her life.
The prior to my wife has a name that is so common that it is difficult to track her. I've tried, but not too hard because I'm not going to do anything with that information.
You know what makes me a bit sad? I've had some girlfriends that I've literally forgotten their names and only remember their faces.
Okay, I just stalked my freshman year UCB GF. She is the head of a hospital practice and lives in Larkspur with her husband and daughter. Good for her. I'm proud of her accomplishments.
One is a pathologist. Another is a sociology professor and one was a prostitute and heroin addict but now is clean and works for a drug recovery program.
Not too much. Going to No 3's GF's graduation party for a little bit on Sat afternoon. No 1 is flying back to NYC Sat night. Probably try to play BB for the first time in a few months on Sun afternoon. Trying not to get hurt. No 2 leaves Mon night to go back to ATL.
The linked article bolsters my theory that Democratic leadership has strayed much too far from the bread-and-butter issues that have been at the foundation of the New Deal coalition - economic issues in support of families and working people.
If the Democrats want to regain a majority in both houses of Congress and the White House, then they need to listen less to corporate America and more to the folks who make the economic engine run - folks who work for a living and work to get ahead. For much too long, Democrats have done the bidding of corporate America to the detriment of workers, families, and unions. It is not coincidental that union membership and the middle class have both declined over the last 50 years.
The opportunities for Democrats to set themselves apart from the GOP on workers issues, the environment, the economy, and education are myriad. But the Democrats have got to get rid of leadership that is beholden to the model of appeasing corporate America because that is only end up with scraps after the GOP is done dining at the table.
This is common sense stuff. We needed a 3rd party about 40 years ago.
Two runs didn’t take on Tuesday, nor was it enough on Wednesday — but on Thursday, two runs was just right.
Those runs weren’t a given either. The San Francisco Giants were down 1-0 going into the 7th. They looked as helpless as they had all series against Cleveland Guardians starter Gavin Williams. The 25-year old right-hander held the Giants scoreless for six innings, giving up just two hits and three walks with six strikeouts.
As Major League Baseball celebrated Juneteenth and the Athletics celebrated African American Heritage Night at Sutter Health Park, the A’s took on the Houston Astros in West Sacramento.
The A’s sent 27-year-old lefty Jacob Lopez to the mound to face off against Colton Gordon for Houston.
I wonder if the Dodgers had refused cooperation with whatever acronym agency was there yesterday, would they have still been invited to the White House? We’ll never know.
Unfortunately they then delayed an announcement to help local immigrants.

BERKELEY – The Intercollegiate Rowing Collegiate Association (IRCA) announced its 2025 Empacher All-Americans on Thursday which includes Fredrik Breuer, Angus Dawson and Gennaro di Mauro who were named to the First Team and Tim Roth who was named to the Second Team. The three First-Team All-Americans tied for the most of any team in the country.
BERKELEY – The California women's basketball team has been invited to the Oui-Play Paris 2025 where it will take on Vanderbilt to open the 2025-26 season on Monday, Nov. 3 at the Adidas Arena in Paris. One of the premiere events in college women's basketball, Oui-Play will be a doubleheader that will also feature Duke facing Baylor in the second matchup. Exact game times and television broadcast designation will be announced at a later date.
