Biden loses debate as he faltered and looked like an old man

Oof, that was painful. I can’t see how he can possibly win, am so upset that no one tried to primary him so that we could see this in the primaries and dump him. Instead, like RBG, he hung onto power too long and will deliver us a real turd as a result. RBG gave us Dobbs, and Biden will give us Trump 2. I need a cocktail!

Of course, seems pretty obvious that someone his age would appear frail in a debate. Sort of amazing that the DNC did not realize this

and yet he's already bouncing back in public appearances. Bad performance, but the election isn't lost in June.

I walked over and saw his Memorial Day speech at Arlington Cemetery (I live just outside the cemetery) and came away pleased. Hopefully he can do better next debate.

I hope you are right, but his problem is not one that gets better with time.

It just pisses me off that everyone was too chickenshit to tell him he’s too old or to run against him in the primary, even though it seems so obvious that he is too old

Where was this energy and this Biden last night? He sounded great at his rally in NC today.

The DNC is committing political malfeasance. So is Biden.

That is all.

It boggles the mind that our choice is between these two guys. At a time when we, as the foremost example of democracy in the world, are fighting against rising authoritarianism, we should be acting our best, setting a positive example. Instead this makes democracy seem like a fool’s errand, giving the authoritarians something to point to in their support.

Expand full comment

Well to be fair, Biden and the Democrats are fighting rising authoritarianism but the GOP is openly embracing it. It is hard to fight it when half the country wants it.

Duke's Kyle Filipowski didn't get drafted in the first round and some are reporting that his pro day workout, his interview answers, and his fiancé were all red flags. As to the third point, this is the issue:
