Apparently, there is a thing called the Culinary Spoon - which is a fancy name for a medium-sized spoon that is big and deep enough when cooking in commercial volumes, but not too big to be unwieldy. Kitchen staff swear by Kunz and Mercer as the top two brands. I'm not snobby enough to own one as I have my own random big-ole spoon, but I imagine I'll get there eventually.

Jeff Tedford resigned as football coach at Fresno St. for health reasons. This is twice this issue has arisen. Here's hoping he can get a handle on it. I doubt he is ever a head coach again.

I still use those Chinese spoons. Even though they can let hot liquid go right on your hand if you tilt them wrong.
