MO State AG sues Biden Administration for [checks notes]... fictional deep-state immigrant smuggling. How come anti-SLAPP doesn't apply to government officials?
In 1991, Nirvana exploded on in popularity thanks to their first commercial album Nevermind. That year, Cobain and Courtney Love allegedly got hooked on heroin. The next year, Love married Kurt Cobain in 1992. She became pregnant and wanted the band to go in a new direction - something more melodic. This cause the drummer and bassist to quit. That same year, Vanity Fair ran an article on Courtney Love, which included Love admitting that she used heroin in the first trimester of her pregnancy, which she said was an attributing factor to Cobain's declining mental state. The following year, Hole brought in two new members and they recorded their second album "Live through This", which became a commercial success. Early the next year, Love went into rehab - but Cobain killed himself. Two weeks later, her new bassist was dead from a heroin overdose.
When I made it at home I would just use hot italian sausage, cheese, and onions. When I get it at a restaurant, I'll usually try something interesting, not just a standard one like a Denver. And BTW, why is it called the Denver omlette?
What that says to me is that Farhan has put all his eggs into the basket of post-season free agency. It's make or break for Farhan in December. Actually, I'm not certain he retains his job that long.
At least the Giants may be finally giving the young guys a look. I'm guessing they'll try to get someone to take Snell. In typical fashion, he's looked pretty good his last few starts so maybe the Giants can find someone to take his contract.
And that is as it should be. Front offices should always look for the next player who can make the jump to the majors. This simply emphasizes why a strong farm system is so critical to the fortunes of a major league franchise.
If you're going to put your eggs in the basket of getting the best free agents you will be forever chasing your tail because 1/4 to 1/3 of the highest priced free agents, minimum, have already peaked. Their best years of production are behind them. The only way it makes sense is if a front office goes after the younger free agents which often still means players in their early 30s. Some of them are in their prime; some have passed it.
EDIT: I would make one glaring exception to this rule - the New York Yankees. Because of NYY's media revenues, they are unlike any other franchise in their ability to attract and retain productive free agents. The Yankees have also typically had excellent front office staff who are good at evaluating talent. The Yankees very often find themselves in the playoffs, which should be reason enough to respect their ability to maintain their standing within MLB.
The problem the Dodgers have had recently is they're reluctant to trade their top of the farm. See Gavin Lux, Vargas (though they just did at his low), Diego Cartaya...I could go on. Instead of trading them at their high for an impactful arm, they opt not to. Of course, they're seeing a bunch of young arms contribute during the rash of injuries so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Followed a guy into my work's parking lot who had the North Carolina license plate "CALBEAR1". I made sure to park next to him and give him a GO BEARS and got an appropriately enthusiastic GO BEARS back. We chatted a bit and talked about how weird it is that we have more local Cal games to watch compared to being in the Bay Area.
PARIS – Cal alum Ryan Murphy became just the second individual in history to earn a medal in the 100-meter backstroke in three consecutive Olympic Games on Monday at Paris La Defense Arena.
Murphy continued to carve out his legacy as one of the best backstrokers ever by winning the bronze medal in a time of 52.39. It marked the second straight Olympics he has won the bronze in the 100 back after taking the gold medal in his Olympic debut in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2016.
PARIS – American Ryan Murphy continued his impeccable Olympic record Monday by capturing the bronze medal in the 100-meter backstroke at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Former Cal standout Kennedy Goss does not look like a typical women's lacrosse player, and she no longer apologizes for it.
For years, Goss felt a need to apologize for being bigger and stronger, as well as more aggressive and tenacious, than most of her peers in a sport that doesn't necessarily celebrate those attributes.

I'm pretty sure i've seen between the two teams during a series, but not the same game. Have a reliever pitch both halves of an inning for each team.
Especially if they are an ambidextrous reliever.
Giants salary dump 2 players.

You could put the Dodgers in here as well, though their farm system has been good so they don't necessarily need to rely on free agency.
