The utilities for the property include private water (probably well water), private sewer (septic system, perhaps), and 220V electricity.
Based on a recent listing I saw in Berkeley, this is cheap on a per square foot basis at twice the price ($176/sq. ft. for the Swansea, MA listing). The Berkeley listing I saw last week was $1,095,000 on a small house (1,607 sq. ft.) or $681/sq. ft.
Bay Area real estate prices are clearly exorbitant.
The San Francisco Giants have been a comically atrocious team against left-handed pitchers this year, but if you only watched Monday’s game, you wouldn’t know it. They’ve been on a stupendous streak of having the ball take the wrong bounce, but if you only watched Monday’s game, you wouldn’t know it. They’ve excelled at finding ways to squander a strong starting pitching performance, but if you only watched Monday’s game, you wouldn’t know it.
Sometimes it is as simple as one defensive mishap to make the difference between winning and losing, and that’s what we saw in this 4-3 defeat against the Rockies, the first versus Colorado this season. With the game tied at three in the bottom of the ninth, Teoscar Hernández had the chance to catch a routine short fly ball in right field, but he couldn’t run down the batted ball with a .060 xBA. Ezequiel Tovar reached second base on what was ruled a double and came around to score the winning run shortly thereafter on a single from Warming Bernabel.
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – California women's gymnastics placed nine student-athletes on the 2025 WCGA Scholastic All-American list, announced Monday by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association.
Miki Aderinto, Casey Brown, CJ Keuneke, Brandi Kikuno, Jordan Kane, Sage Melkonian, Jayden Silvers, Brianna Taurek and eMjae Frazier earned WCGA Scholastic All-American nods for having a GPA of 3.5 or above, either cumulatively or during the past school year. Brown and Kane each received Scholastic All-American recognition for the third consecutive season, while the others were first-time honorees.
Between losing the coaches and the transfers, I'm guessing this last year may be the last time Cal WGYM will be relevant for a long time, or never again.
Trump administration will start sharing portion of the Epstein Files today. It's so bad when one completely loses confidence in the Federal Government - that things not only will be done in a political fashion, but in bad faith/criminally.
Little America (S2 - 16/19). Working my way through season 2 of Little America. I had forgotten that I had it downloaded from almost 3 years ago. Each episode is about the story of an immigrant in the US. The series was created by Kumail Nanjiani and his wife.
