I traveled into DC to pick up some running shoes I ordered online. National Guard was at a couple of the Metro stations I used. Fortunately they didn’t ask for my visa. Some are now carrying weapons but the guys I saw weren’t.

There is a technical difference. I can see your eyes glazing over even though your eyes aren't visible.
Two-piece is an overarching description that includes the well-known bikini as well as less revealing swimwear that is, nonetheless, two pieces.
Bikinis were named after the atoll in the Pacific because their revealing style was an "explosive" fashion statement at the time of its invention.
