Still, there is no denying that Las Vegas has a host of better mascots to choose from that would be neutral or representative of different perspectives: Scorpions, Tarantulas, Horny Toads, etc.
I went to the UNLV basketball camp during the height of the Running Rebs - Larry Johnson, Stacy Augman, Anderson Hunt, Greg Anthony, Travis Bice, Moses Scurry - it was so much fun and a true core memory for me being in Vegas as a 16 and 17 year old.
