I always thought of bean bag chairs as something that old people imagine that young people like, and so will throw into a dorm common room or similar space. And then in reality everyone just sits on the sofa like the regular humans that they are.
I have a "Chill Sack" giant bean bag. It's got torn up foam cubes in it instead of beans. It's alright, but the experience of sitting in a bean bag chair is distinctly less comfortable as a 50+ year old. Not having a neck/back supported right gets uncomfortable after a while.
HSB, head of data science at Vox Media, bought this classically round beanbag chair from Yogibo for his teenage daughter’s room. She uses it as a casual lounge chair, a place to read, or a change of scenery for working on her laptop.
Both Trolio and HSB own and love this lounger-style beanbag chair. “We have it in our family room and someone can lie/sleep on it during sleepovers or a couple people can sit on it at a time,” says HSB, calling it extra-comfy with the only downfall being that it’s impossible to get up from. “I actually have to roll myself onto the floor and then stand up. That is why I never get out of it,” he says.
Our sweet 14.5yo pit mix is still kicking strong. She has slowed down considerably, but still has some spunk and every check up the vet tells us she's the healthiest dog for her age that they've seen. Just this morning she helped calm down a Pomeranian that had escaped from his home and was running around the park free. She used to be a little dog reactive, but just sat there calmly while he sniffed her face allowing me enough time to put a leash on him and call the owner.
One daughter is a special ed teacher for pre schoolers and the other is a social worker. Both have MAs. Couldn't leave one out when it comes to bragging.
In one of my daughter’s classes (3rd grade) there is a new student from Egypt. My daughter’s teacher told me that my daughter took up the initiative to sit next to the new student and goes over all the schoolwork with her one on one after the teacher explains it to the class.
my younger daughter in 10th grade got accepted to an intensive art program at their HS which requires going to school an extra period early for the next 3 years.

additionally, there is an autocad/architecture track at our HS that they are enjoying and seriously considering as a career.
you are not allowed to show up w/ a fancy new bike. in fact there are strict rules about the vintage character of your bike. i had my first bike restored to meet the requirements.
By “bici eroica” we mean road racing bicycles built before 1987 with steel frame (including some aluminium exceptions like ALAN and VITUS with screwed or glued joints). Shift levers must be on the frame's oblique down tube (but also pre-1980 bar-end gear shifters are allowed) and pedals must have toe-clips and straps.
Speaking of cheese, I'm in Wisconsin right now for work. The hotel I'm staying at has Pac12 network plus all 6 Pac12 regional channels. Watched Cal-Arizona game in 60 min. last night.
in Wisconsin there used to be a law (not sure stiil) that if your restaurant served apple pie, you were required to offer the option to have a giant slice of cheddar cheese melted on top.
[Warriors] "These things happen. Nobody likes it, we don't condone it, but it happens," Myers said. "Draymond apologized to the team. Jordan was there in the room. ... As far as any suspension, punishment, fine, we will handle that internally." - GM Bob Myers
Saw a video clip of the punch. Looks like they were standing around between plays and draymond strolls over, I guess they say something, JP two hand shoves Draymond, and Draymond punches him and he goes down.
Yeah, the video changed my mind a bit about the scuffle, Dray could have easily shoved him back and let the team break them up, but that was a straight face shot. Hoping they get it resolved internally and the hatchet gets buried. Not a good look for Dray.
Nyheim Hines concussed on the third play of the game. I gotta imagine that no team doctor will risk sending a player back out this season who is wobbly after what happened to Tua.
Remember the list of documents that Judge Cannon wanted seal that was accidentally exposed to the public? Bloomberg news figures out that the main one - the medical record - was that stupid 2015 doctor's note that Trump dictated to him and was already publicly released as a publicity stunt. You may recall that the note said ""If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency". Again, it proves that Cannon is a partisan hack who is not qualified to be a judge.
Not really sure why Wilcox is in there at this point, I mean he is under .500 as a head coach. Does Colorado really want 5-7 seasons? OTOH if he goes we can hire TT making someone on the boards here very happy.
That person will claim it is him that convinced AD to hire TT. He will also claim that the writer of 247sports read his suggestions on this blog and came up with the idea.
Good match-ups with mostly bad teams, but I'd take Rutgers, Houston, Nevada, and UNLV. It's generally accepted that a home team gains a 3 point advantage, which makes the CSU/Nevada game a pick-em. This seems odd given how bad CSU is.
Nevada did allow an Iowa team to score nearly 30…FWIW.
I’d absolutely take UNLV & 6.5…Houston just lost to a Tulane squad with its 3rd string QB, tho he looked markedly better than Cal’s 1st stringer, again, FWIW. Nebraska shouldn’t be favored over anyone, should they?
[WTEN] Cal's double's team that I watched lose to the #3 Wake Forest doubles pair went to the Consolation Bracket at the ITA Championship. Cal plays in the Consolation Semis vs. a very good #5 Tennessee pair today. Cal has to be underdogs.
I noticed that the match next to us was #15 UNC pair vs. #46 Michigan's Brown/Miller. Miller & Brown were physical specimens and beat the higher ranked UNC pair. Yesterday, Brown/Miller destroyed the #3 pair from Wake Forest that beat Cal. Today, Brown/Miller beat the #2 pair. They advance to the Finals tomorrow.
[MSOC] Bears (3-3-4, 1-2-1) tie Oregon State (4-3-2, 1-1-1) in the 53rd minute off team-leading Ibrahim's fifth score of the season. He was red-carded in the 71st minute, so it got a bit squirrelly at the end and Cal held onto the tie.
Just back from the hospital, now the proud owner of a pacemaker. Even more prepared for whatever Cal football dishes out.

bean bag chairs
Liked when I was a kid - never liked even in HS.

i was quoted in the Strategist for my review of the Yogibo chairs

Sure impressed Dad.
My son is 2 years old and he is a very happy and loving boy.

i remember this infomercial about cheese from the lead photo. it was one of the better fun snippets of TV from my childhood.
in fact, a "hunk of cheese" has been one of my go-to snacks over the years.
not an infomercial. it was part of schoolhouse rock.

this was fun/painful to watch.
Wilson had two chances to win the game, blew it both times.
on the other hand when the Colts were about to tie it up, i figured they would get sacked, run out of time and lose. that did not happen.
Fun? - it was so boring bad, so bad, so grossed - UGLY!
Colts had no business winning that game….Wilson threw just a killer INT…so bad.
I still can't believe he threw that pass. Would have been better just eating the ball for a sack.

They hired Karl Dorrell bc Karl Dorrell lives in Boulder.
We should buy Bob Stoops a house in Berkeley…
Solid reasoning.

.500 is an improvement for CU. Please take Wilcox
He doesn’t leave for likely a boatload more $$$ at his top-15 legacy-alma mater, but sure, he’ll bolt for a full rebuild in Boulder….please.
We’re stuck with him.
Exactly my thought, too.
Yeah agree.
They'd have to pay his buyout/break up fee.

Houston @ Memphis (-2.5)

Nebraska still has a talent advantage over Rutgers but Rutgers has the coaching advantage. I would take a Rutgers and the points in this game.
