Judge rules two default judgement against Alex Jones for not complying with orders to produce evidence. A default judgement is normally when you don't show up to defend your case. But in this case, Jones was so egregious in not producing documents as to be essentially non-compliant. This the judgement phase. A jury will decide penalties later.
He is a rookie, right? Must be a bit of a learning curve. That's one thing different than the old days of the NFL, rookies didn't use to start, a couple of years backing up was de rigueur.
He is a rookie and the Jags aren’t a good team. In fact, all the rookie QBs have struggled this season and looked like overwhelmed rookies. Burrows looked good last season before his injury, Herbert played really well and wasn’t the reason that the Chargers missed the playoffs. Luck looked good his rookie season. Murray also played well his rookie year.
Lamar Jackson was great as a rookie as well in ‘18, once he got the chance to start after a Flacco injury.
The common denominator for Herbert, Luck, Lamar, Kyler and Burrow is that they all went to teams with above average NFL offenses with quality NFL weapons. Trey Lance, were he starting like he should be, would probably be having the best year of the 5 rookie QBs. Unfortunately, Lawrence, Mac Jones, Fields & Zach Wilson ALL play on dogschitt teams w/ garbage offenses that are light on playmakers.
SAN FRANCISCO -- Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green said Thursday that he does not feel like it's his place to push the COVID-19 vaccine on teammate Andrew Wiggins.
Speaking for the first time since training camp began, Green made it clear that even as a leader of the Warriors, he is not going to use his influence to try to convince Wiggins, who to this point has been hesitant, to get vaccinated.
"That would be like Andrew -- who everyone knows recently just had a kid maybe 5 months or so ago now -- that would be like me telling him, 'Yo, your wife is going into labor. How dare you leave this team and not go tend to your wife?'" Green said. "That's something that's personal to him. That's something that's health-related. That's something that's personal to his family. This is no different. We're dealing with something that to me feels like has turned into a political war when you're talking about vaccinated [people] and non-vaccinated [people]. I think it's become very political."
As a team leader, do you think he should push Wiggins to get vaccinated?
There was an article on a baseball player that paid his teammates to get vaccinated. People figured out it probably was Wainwright and the Cards based on details such as being in a certain city around a time frame or minor league transactions.
I think as a leader Dreymond should strongly suggest he get vaccinated. Who knows, maybe Draymond and Steph tried but Wiggins dig in and said he wouldn't so they're not going to push it?
I think he should be telling everyone to get vaccinated. It doesn't have to be a moral argument, it's a purely competitive argument. You want everyone to be available to play, and a COVID infection/outbreak puts the season in jeopardy.
The first inning of the San Francisco Giants series finale against the Arizona Diamondbacks ended the way that no one ever could have predicted when the Giants were lining up World Series opponents and knocking them down seven, nine, and 11 years ago: with Buster Posey patting Madison Bumgarner’s badonkadonk, as the man who called Posey his “best friend” after the 2014 World Series stepped into the batter’s box as an opponent.
The last inning of the Giants series finale against the Diamondbacks ended the way that everyone would have predicted if they watched a lick of Giants baseball in 2021: with LaMonte Wade Jr. hitting a walk-off single.
Giants up 2 games in the West with 3 to play. Only way the Dodgers can win it outright (without a tiebreaker) is if the Giants get swept. If the Giants win only 1 game, the best the Dodgers can do is tie. If the Giants win the Padres series, they win the division.
Padres don't give a shit (doesn't seem like they have for at least the last 2 weeks) and their pitching is not good. Not sure if Musgrove is pitching any of the 3 games and Darvish is on the IL. So I'm thinking the Giants will sweep.
Maybe in some masochistic way, you can kinda find it all exciting, that the Dodgers took one step forward, with three games left.
The Dodgers picked up right where they left off, hitting five more home runs to finish off a third consecutive sweep of the Padres with an 8-3 win on Thursday at Dodger Stadium. But the Dodgers will enter Friday still two games back in the National League West, since the Giants swept the Diamondbacks, including a 5-4, walk-off win on Thursday.
“We’re wired to keep going, and try to win as many games as we can,” manager Dave Roberts said.
I'm hoping for at least a pair of Giant wins to put this to rest, but the way the Giants are having to pull things out, you can see why the Dodgers have kept digging (blasting) while scoreboard watching. Would anyone actually be shocked if the Giants blow this?

UVA leads Miami by 13 with less than 3 minutes to go in the 3rd. Miami scores a TD, UVA scores a FG, Miami scores another TD to be down by 2 and then forces UVA to punt with 5:30 to go. Miami takes 15 plays to march 75 yards down to the UVA 16 with 3 seconds left. Then...
difference is that Cal cant afford to fire Wilcox and Miami can fire Diaz. I am mostly off the Wilcox train at this point. I've figured out that OKG= "marginal talent that plays hard" and while that might work ok in the Big Sky, it is suboptimal in the Pac12
I predicted a 35-31 Cal win against Washington, which did not come to pass. I predict a 35 to 28 Cal win against Wazzu. I just saw a Food52 video supporting All For Farmers, and this looks like a nice apron (that conversion chart seems useful) https://food52.com/shop/products/8980-five-two-x-all-for-farmers-ultimate-apron
I don't currently use aprons; I just put on "house clothes" if I think I'll be doing something messy. But, maybe I could start wearing an apron? Hmmm
I wear only an apron...that’s it
yes
I don't normally wear an apron, but I think I do look cute in one.
This also looks like a reasonable apron for shop work.
Home Depot hosted my kids elementary school and gave every kid a little orange apron. Very cute, but NONE of the kids wanted to wear them!
Back when my love slave and I were painting, she always used to wear a lab coat to avoid getting paint on her clothes.
Ha, yes, aprons are often cuter than my random free t-shirts!

Entertaining Thursday night NFL game (I know! Surprising!) Both Burrows & Laurence look to be future studs.
This is the first time that Lawrence has looked good as an NFL QB. That flea flicker pick 6 he threw last week against Arizona was laughable.

I think we can safely assume the Miami coaching job will be available this coming off season
I mean, if that is a fireable offense then Wilcox should be joining him.
i'm referring to Miami's season in general. They had 10-11 win dreams and are 2-3 with considerable drama behind the scenes
Well I would say Cal had 8-10 win dreams and we are looking at a losing season. Less drama but equally poor results.
What? 10 wins? You crazy, at most 9, and that's counting a so-so bowl game.
