while i appreciate its pitfalls, i have been using for some coding projects lately and it is pretty fantastic. saved a ton of time on tasks that you know how to do and can easily instruct someone else by just looking at the results.
The Golden State Warriors had a serious test in their second game of the season, hosting a rested and fully-healthy Denver Nuggets squad that most see as the top contender to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the stacked Western Conference. The Warriors passed that test … and thrilled along the way with what will surely stand as one of the best games of the year for the Dubs.
HAG and I were at this one. it was pretty grim for the first 2/3 of the game. some good D and timely shooting got us close enough until the fun stuff at the end.
the place was loud for the last couple minutes and OT.
BERKELEY – The No. 4 California men's water polo team (13-3) edged No. 5 Fordham (14-2), 15,14, after a back-and-forth fourth period behind a game-winning goal from freshman Tomas Perrone with four seconds remaining in regulation on Thursday at Spieker Aquatics Complex in Berkeley.
After spending most of the 2024 and 2025 campaigns on the New York Jets practice squad, Jackson Sirmon made his NFL debut for the Jets in a 13-6 Week 7 home loss to Carolina. He contributed one tackle in his first regular-season NFL game.
California volleyball continues the second half of its season this weekend with a trip down south, first taking on Georgia Tech (9-8, 4-4 ACC) in Atlanta on Friday evening before heading to South Carolina to match up with Clemson (12-8, 0-8) on Sunday afternoon. Both visits will be new territory for the Golden Bears (6-12, 3-5 ACC), who have only faced either team at Haas Pavilion or at a neutral site.
The California field hockey team is looking to rebound as it heads on the road to face UC Davis at the Aggie Field Hockey Facility on Friday at 12 p.m. PT.
This marks the second game against UC Davis this season as the Bears won the previous matchup 4-1 at Underhill Field in September. In that game Olivia Sharratt and Zara Schmitz each scored a pair of goals marking the first multi-goal games of their careers.
COMMENTARY: This article illustrates, at least indirectly, why Cal's football program is mired in mediocrity - the administration doesn't care enough or just doesn't care. I will beat that drum until we see the evidence of not just better support from the administration, but a commitment to providing the support necessary to having a winning program, and events on the gridiron prove otherwise.
Indiana knows what it takes to do well in basketball. What they didn't know how to do was apply those lessons to the football program. Fortunately, IU has an Athletic Director who does have a clue on how to go about finding the right head coach for IU, which turned out to be Curt Cignetti. Which is what I hope Ron Rivera has; a clue that is, about what is needed from the HC for Cal football and how the administration can support the program.
I think the administration doesn't care because it places far more value on academics. That's fine. But if that's where you want to go and if athletics is just a thing to pay the bills for what amounts to lip service, then come clean and be honest about your intentions.
Yeah, there are some signs that this is changing at Cal but we'll need to see where it goes. I do think you could get Cal donors to further open their wallets with a plan that everyone believes in. There is early trust in Rivera, let's see him follow through.

If you want to use google but don't want AI in the results, put a swear word in the search request.

Interesting choice by the Dodgers. Means that even if the series goes 7, probably won't see Snell more than twice.

This Warriors team is probably too old to go all the way, but they should be entertaining and it's been a great start!
They started the same way last year until De'anthony Melton got hurt. Hopefully they are able to keep it up this year.

Thanks for this. From the article, this is us:
“Suffice to say, Indiana football was not an afterthought in the state. That would require it to be a thought in the first place.”
“Being an Indiana football fan felt like being in a very small club that no one wanted to join…”
Yup, we know all too well how that hits.
