Until recently, I naively saw the above painting "The Swing" as a painting of a nice lady having fun on a swing. Then it was explained to me that actually the painting is quite controversial and lurid.
I wonder if back then, there was actually no pornographic paintings at all, or just none in high society? Stuff like this reminds me of when I was in high school trying to sneak bawdy jokes into the school newspaper, past the eyes of the reviewing teacher. Only funny because of the precise situation in which the jokes appeared, as opposed to being funny in general.
Hmmmm... Not actually an expert on pornographic paintings from the 18th Cent... I don't think there really was any - unlike the Roman period where they definitely got busy with it.
And you call yourself cultured?! Kidding! I have no idea either. I just think back to like middle school and what dudes would scribble in their notebooks and wonder if that isn’t sort of universal

But in the three years in between the Bears went 20-6-3 and earned a Rose Bowl berth in 1928. My daughter and I broke into the candy on Friday and ate most of the Crunch and 100 Grand bars, a decision which we are regretting this morning now that the leftover chocolate bars are Bounty and Butterfingers.
I've tried reading some of the articles about the margin of error within polls and I'm increasingly convinced they're not fit for purpose. I won't be surprised if the GOP regains control of the House, mind you, but that's just because I expect results I don't like.

They also just traded away Hockenson to Vikings. Is that indication of our fate as well? Lose the best player to a rival team? But instead Cal will not get anything in return.
