I've only received one, heading north on the GW parkway just south of Arlington. The Park Police were just waving people over and handing out tickets. I was briefly tempted to challenge it based on their "eyeball" standard but didn't because 1) the fine was only $50, and 2) I was going 10 mph faster than the ticket said. I assume they knew most people would have the same reaction - I mean what was I going to do, go to court and say "this ticket is bullshit, I was going 55 in a 35?"

my observation of vegas food generally, is that it is high end if you are used to a bland, over salt and sugared standard American diet. If you ever eat a vegetable that is not deep fried, the food is average at best.
I remember one of the busiest I've seen the Louisville airport was the Sun after Breeder's Cup (never been there the day after the Derby). My parents were leaving and the line was HUGE.

Keeneland is beautiful. One year we drove there to watch the Derby. You can setup chairs along the rail and they have all of the races on the big screen in the infield. It's pretty cool.

i think because it was more than 20+ mph over the speed limit it counted as "reckless driving" automatically.

FAYETTEVILLE, AR – Dario Longhetto has been named a nominee for the Burlsworth Trophy given annually to the most outstanding FBS player in the nation who began his collegiate career as a walk-on. The fifth-year senior was a walk-on for three seasons at Cal before receiving a scholarship in the summer of 2021.
The Burlsworth Trophy award ceremony to honor three finalists and announce the 2022 winner will take place at Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville, Ark., on Dec. 5 at 7 pm CST/5 pm PST.
Cal has had two previous national top-three finalists for the prestigious honor in Patrick Laird (2018) and Ashtyn Davis (2019).

SAN DIEGO – The first half of the 2022-23 season ended on Thursday for the Cal men's tennis team, as Ryder Jackson fell to Harvard's Harris Walker in their consolation singles match at the ITA National Fall Championships.
The Golden Bear junior fell to the 39th-ranked Walker, 6-2, 6-0, at the Barnes Tennis Center.
Jackson has impressed in the first half of his first season at Cal. The USC transfer played at the ITA All-American Championships, reached the final of the ITA Northwest Super Regional Championships to qualify for fall nationals and competed with the nation's best players in San Diego.

HONG KONG – California rugby will have three representatives of the Blue & Gold at the Hong Kong Sevens tournament set to take place Nov. 4-6 in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The iconic event, which usually takes place in the springtime, returns to the world stage in 2022 after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Three former Golden Bears – Ken Kurihara '20, Sam Walsh '22 and Russell Webb '17 – have been named to team rosters from three different countries slated to play on the HK 7's pitch. Kurihara will play for Japan's squad and Webb for host-team Hong Kong, while Walsh will make his first appearance as a USA Eagle since his recent graduation from Cal this past spring.

The No. 9 Cal women's swimming & diving team returns to the water Friday for a nonconference dual meet against UC San Diego at Canyonview Aquatic Center.
The Bears are back in action for the first time since winning their first two Pac-12 dual meets of the season in mid-October.
Cal has dominated its competition so far this fall. In addition to handily defeating Utah and Washington State in conference action, the Bears also won every event except one at the Chick-Fil-A Invitational at Fresno State and registered top times in each event at the Queen of the Pool at Cal Poly.

Two of the Bears' top pairs return to the same venue this weekend to set another benchmark – competing in the first-ever AVCA Fall Collegiate Beach Championships.
"It's a testament to the growth of our program," Cal head coach Meagan Owusu said. "It's an honor to get to be part of this first fall national championship."
Seniors Ainsley Radell and Ashley Delgado form the Bears' top pair in the tournament while juniors Brooke Buchner and Maya Gessner are the team's No. 2 pair. Each pair plays three pool play matches on Friday before moving on to bracket play for the remainder of the weekend.

BERKELEY – When Cal men's basketball alumnus Shareef Abdur-Rahim and his wife, Dee Dee, were students at UC Berkeley, the resources provided to them meant everything.
Now the couple has ensured that present and future Golden Bear student-athletes will have access to greater resources, as they have contributed an impactful gift in support of the Cameron Institute endowment.
"Being connected to the Cameron Institute the past couple of years has provided me the chance to see the work that is being done for Cal's student-athletes and the support coming from (Cameron Institute Board Chairman) Bryan Cameron," Abdur-Rahim said. "In all of my close work with athletics, I have not seen anything close to what the Cameron Institute is doing to enhance the student-athlete experience."

I’m in Vegas and I went to Momofuku last night for dinner. I was not impressed at all. Food was average at best and way overpriced for both Vegas standards and the food itself. I have had better ramen in LA, SD and the Bay Area.
my observation of vegas food generally, is that it is high end if you are used to a bland, over salt and sugared standard American diet. If you ever eat a vegetable that is not deep fried, the food is average at best.

I remember one of the busiest I've seen the Louisville airport was the Sun after Breeder's Cup (never been there the day after the Derby). My parents were leaving and the line was HUGE.

Keeneland is beautiful. One year we drove there to watch the Derby. You can setup chairs along the rail and they have all of the races on the big screen in the infield. It's pretty cool.
Love Keeneland…Lexington in general is just a real beautiful area. I was down there a ton in my horse racing days…ran into Bobby Hurley a bunch, before he got back into coaching.

Quite enjoying Superstore, it may not be a very intellectual comedy, but it does produce lots of laughs. Never watched it when broadcast, but have gotten to Season #2 watching it on Hulu.

After I finished Netflix, Blockbuster showed up as a recommendation so I watched about 8 episodes. It stars Asian Jim, Mrs. Jake Peralta, and Larry David's black roommate. It's not bad. As you can guess, it's about the last Blockbuster store in the country. The real last Blockbuster is in Bend, Or. This one is not set there. Somewhere in the midwest, though I forgot where.
