How bad are the San Jose Sharks? They've tied an NHL record by going winless in their first 11 games and have become the first team to allow 10 goals in consecutive games. The worst goal differential in NHL history was the '74-75 Washington Caps, who had a negative 265 over 80 games. While it's early days, the Sharks are pacing 18% worse. Toronto's Auston Matthews (who was born in San Ramon CA) has one fewer goal that the entire Sharks team.

Beats me - they sold beer at the Coliseum for most if not all of my time there as an undergrad & there wasn’t really much trouble in the student section as I recall
The problems aren't usually with students. It's with the middle aged drunks that at best aren't paying any attention to the game, or the people they are tripping over while a play is being run, and at worst think getting into a fight after spilling beer all over other people somehow makes sense.

LOWELL, Mass. –The California field hockey team made its final America East contest a memorable one, scoring two late goals – including the game winner by Holly Pears in overtime – to rally past UAlbany 3-2 and clinch the 2023 America East Tournament title.
On this day in 1948 in Memorial Stadium the Golden Bears defeated UCLA 28-13 before 68,000 fans. The win raised Cal’s record to 8-0, they would finish the regular season as undefeated conference champions and play in their first Rose Bowl in 11 years. (Imagine having to wait 11 years between Rose Bowls.) The heavily-favored Bears were out-gained by their southern cousins, but an 85-yard pick six by Will Potter and a blocked punt were enough to make the hosts comfortable winners. The contest ended with a fist fight at the 50 yard line between Cal back-up QB Boots Erb and Bruin guard Ed Eaton. Among the spectators that day was California Governor Earl Warren who would later be Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Warren was an Old Blue.
